Sousuke vs Heero

I predict Heero would blow himself up trying.... oh I need to sacrifice myself unnecessarily to make it look like there is a plot to this, Sousuke standing there going what an emo.

Sousuke has more feild training and has better judgement, he is a better soldier, would use the most underhanded tactics to win, Heero, just seems like he'd be lamb for the slaughter but then again, he can jump 7 foot fences :S. Overall SOusuke would kill though.

As a fan of the series, I'd like to make it clear: Heero ALSO has been fighting since his childhood - he was adopted and trained by an assassasin called Odin Lowe at the age of... 7-8, maybe less (I don't remember...). Than he was trained in all other types of battles: hand-to-hand, mobile suits, regular weaponry etc. It's just the 'type' of battles that were slighty different - because Sousuke fought in guerilla groups which we can imagine nowadays...

About the AS and MS - well, if you think REALLY realistically, they're both something hard to imagine to being created in next decade or two. Both AS and MS have their good sides and weak sides. And although they CAN be compared to each other, they're still different machines...

And finally about the fight: although I chose the last option about them being immortal, I think that after some fight both Sousuke and Heero would respect each other as great soldiers. I'd like to refer to what Sousuke said in FUMOFFU! series: it's enough that the enemy knows you are as strong as he is. And that's how it would work between Sousuke and Heero - they're both strong, experienced soldiers.

But no you can't compare a AS to a MS (arx-8 is teh suck)... a MS would need a battery / power plant the size of a small moon to function.

Not to mention the shear uber pwnage factor it seems to have over .. well just about, err everything?! ... It feels like watching DBZ and Goku is a mech.

And to make things worse .. the ARX-8 got MS'sed gundammit.
No I will not recognize the ARX-8 as canon to the FMP universe...

But, oh, um... I'm not that familiar with the names of all the guns and equipment... However I still like Gundam - like it or not, it's piece of anime's history (the first series was broadcasted about 30 years ago!)...

And back to the topic: what do you think about my opinion with Heero and Sousuke?.. Do you think it would be possible for them to respect each other and don't get into another's way, unless necessary/ordered?..

Well in this setting I would definitely say Sousuke. Not only because he's just more kick ass, but he has more experience fighting in that type of place, so he'd have an edge over Heero. Although I'll give props to Heero for falling out of a god-knows tall building and just getting up afterwards...

I can imagine the following scene..

"Tomorrow is my birthday", Said Sousuke as he hands Heero a nice colourful envelope.
An explosive device detonates as Heero tries to shred the envelope.
"How cruel!!!........" Yells Kaname as she bashes Sousuke's with a halisen.

Well I think they both would sense that they both wouldn't hesitate to kill the other if they see an opening.

@Raishinshi ... Mere gravity is no match for Kaname's punch/kick/halisen combo's.

Kaname would win. She's always got the haisen up on Sousuke and would catch Heero way off gaurd. Though, he might just stand there unscathed. She's just not the Relena he's used to. And she doesn't employ a gun for retaliation.

Sousuke would be more defensive than engaging, but Heero would be the opposite. Sousuke would be more the type to avoid putting the hurt on him if it were in any way possible & use strategy with his surrounding weapons, Heero would go for the throat after waiting for Sousuke to make the first move against him.

If both of them were set up against one another for all intents and purposes of this senario then they would be 'in each other's way' and have to fight.

Possibly, did this idea come up off of the LJ comm that weekly sets up two anime characters against each other and the members vote on who will win?
