There is no denying that Leonard is kind of sexy the way he acts and speaks, and how smart he is (such a huge turn on for me) but not for Chidori. He needs someone who can challenge him on a daily basis, knock him down a few pegs when his ego inflates too much.
Kaname is perfect for Sousuke. She's outgoing enough for both of them and she influences him greatly.

I think opposites make a much more interesting couple than alikes.
