Caution, some spoilers.... maybe....

The next installment of Macross. Love the dog fighting scenes, but can we loose the faggy ultra-lite winged suits? That exoskeleton-meets-armslave-prepared-to-fly-off-sub-deck look ain't happnin'

Anyway, take Macross 7's story line (more or less, and no sign of Fire Bomber THANK GOD!) and add to it some Macross Plus style animation (and a singer that reminds me of Sharon Apple, less computer hardware). Then add green-animate-haired Chinese restaurant waitress (Minmay?) and a lead who reminds me of Minmey's Cousin.....

Trip down memory lane? Rehashing old plots?

yeah, like the "look, I'm firing at the alien with my gunpod in GERWALK mode, maybe I'm a ^%@^# genius pilot" scene which smacks of a direct ripoff of the 1st Macross episode scene......

Oh, and he did save Minmey... erm... the Green haired girl... but not from mid air.... Damn.....

Welp, its only the first ep and so far the battles were nice....... albeit short..... and a wet teeshirt contest, but not much too look at.... teehee she thought he was a she......

I'm on the fence for this one.... I'll let you know how I feel after the next episode. Can't be worse than the end of Macross Zero...

I saw it too, seem to be a nice retelling with pwetty pictures.

If you like transforming fighters, combat, love triangles, combat, alien invasions and combat, you would certainly enjoy it. Did I mention it also has combat?

now i remember, i did watch one. it was something zero or other and it took forever to release the 5-parter.

i have just downloaded the first episode and will watch it now.
