see the topic title. Is it just me, or has there been like no info on any future FMP-related releases (besides novels in Japanese)?

Also, if no English translations of the novels exists beyond #3 how does anyone here know what the later ones are about? Wikipedia doesn't give many plot details.

to my knowledge there has been no news

tokyopop has published official translations of the first two novels and there are unofficial translations of ODBD, DVMC, COMO, and BOMF
additionally, people who can read japanese have posted here and on Animesuki with novel spoilers from the untranslated novels
Dr. Phil gave birth to Chuck Norris and Ron Paul helped deliver the baby

...but Neil DeGrasse Tyson will create a black hole with his mind and devour them all.

Yup! Dig around on this site and there are spoilers aplenty. Animesuki has a page with summaries of all the novels. Unfortunately, the fan translations aren't so easy to come by these days. The groups who did them pulled them down once they were licensed. But, as they say, good things are worth waiting for.

I'm with you on a fourth season. I'd LOVE and OVA of DVMC or something. That book was freakin' awesome!

They need to pick up the pace with translating the novels (Tokyopop I mean).
If you've seen the anime by all means, read the novel. Some of it has greater details then the anime does. There is so much in the novel they can animate, I really hope they do someday.

The third novel is supposed to be out June 13. I agree with the sentiment that it seems like they are taking forever to release these.

Maybe I am just being impatient, but it seems like it takes a long time for things to get translated and available to English-speaking audiences. I was reading an article in Otaku USA the other day, and the writer seemed to be suggesting that the folks in Japan are just now beginning to understand how popular manga and anime are outside of Japan. That seems odd, considering at how adapt the Japanese have been in marketing cars and electronics around the world. Still, maybe this has been a blind spot and they have underestimated the ka-ching that awaits them over here?

I think a movie of DVMC would be cool. Or, I have fantasized that it be the core for a fourth series, along with some of the more comic Jindai-based stories that haven't yet been animated. Sort of going back to the more balanced tone of the the first season. Don't get me wrong, I really liked TSR, but I thought it was pretty dark most of the time.

Sorry, I should have said the release of TokyoPop's translation of the third novel. There have been a lot more released in Japan. I've lost track of where they stand now.
