Tessa-chan's M6...

Post by Bernie »

Well, I'm basically wondering a few things about Tessa's M6.

First, does it have a longer name? Y'know how the M9 is like, the M9 Gernsback or Gurnsback...does the M6 have something similiar? If so, what is it?

I read here (http://www.fullmetalpanic.net/mechanics.html) that it's "Bushnell" but...like, I don't know what the rest of the page is written in and I see descrepencies in the spelling of "Gernsback" which I thought was with an E but they use a U.

I was also wondering if there were any stats on it at like, all, y'know. Anyhow, any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

"Can I help you?, "you know this section is.." she broke off her sentence as the man walked towards her and nodded, "I think you can Captain".
Tessa looked down, "I haven't been called Captain in 4 years," Wha..what do you want?"
He gave her a devious grin, "I'm here to make sure you keep your promise."

Well, there are many variations of the M6, and I'm really not sure which model Mithril uses. I think it was the M6A2, if I remember right. Those green AS that got scrapped by Behemoth were M6s too, I believe. Could be the same type that was used in the Gulf War, but I'm not too sure.

Anyways, the thing(A2 version) should be around 8 metres tall and 11 tons heavy. Equipped with reactive armoured shield(s?). Has balance problems since there's trouble with the piloting system(Rockwell MSO-11), but you should know that from episode 3. :-D

Mithril doesn't use the latest version, the M6A3 Dark Bushnell, in favour of the superior M9, it seems.

Don't know anything much other than that.

Holy crap, EZ. When did you get so informative about FMP! mechs?! I always knew you liked them but damn. You gotta sign on more often, man.

So, now...Tessa's M6 would be the M6A2 Bushnell? Uh, what's the differences between the M6s? Are there images? Lineart? Anything of the sort?

Sousuke and Shinji were discussing the M6A2's performance specs in Kaname's balcony. What they said indicates low performance specs, which sort of makes me think Mithril probably usses it's own variant.

The JDF AS that were obliterated by Behemoth's cannon (One helluva cannon there!) were NOT M6 units. They were the Type-96 AS, the Japanese counterpart to the Bushnell.

Primary differences would be that the M6 is your basic model US Army AS, with I soppose an M6A1 being an upgraded version (Sort of like the M1 and M1A1 tanks). The M6A2 is a Naval variant, used by the US Marine Corps (Jarheads :-D ). Mithril's M6 seems to be equipped with an ECS system, and all are run by an unknown type of Gas Turbine engine.

I'm also guessing that the poor bastards in M6 units who got themselves obliterated by Gaurun were -A2 models.

Ah, so Mithril could be using the A3 Dark Bushnell, ne?

But then again, from them sources Taurec gave us, M6 started using ECS system starting from the A1 variant, so you should understand my confusion.

I still haven't seen episodes after Sagara's homeland story arc, so I'm mostly in the dark in those areas. Yes, Bernie, I still haven't watched them. Pity me! :(

Well, I think what's running through my mind right now is lineart/images of any type. I actually broke out my old fansubs and checked to see if those American AS that Gauln rips apart were really M6...and sure enough they were.

It was funny 'cause when I first saw that many moons ago, I thought they were cool lookin'. I was always a big fan of Tessa's mech. And then today I put two and two together and was like, "Oh damn! No wonder I liked the American AS...they're the same as Tessa's!" lol. Yeah, it was funny to me at least...

Anyhow, Mal showed me this image and he thinks it might be a M6. I think its too ugly to be an M6, lol. What's everyone elses opinion?

It definitely is too ugly to be an M6, because it isn't one. :-D That's the Type-96 Kat was talking about, Bern.

See, even Mal thought it was an M6! I am not alone!

Yep, that's the JDF Type-96 alright. 3 show up in Episode 11 just in time to get vaporized by Behemoth, and you see them again (extensively) in Ep 14 (the Military competition thing).
