Thankfully nothing broke, and I got the last two days off without incident. Just lethargic as hell as I didn't
want to do anything... INCLUDING picking up the phone to sort out a mortgage payment that didn't go through...

Maybe I just need a vacation from life...

Well .... for gen2 type VM's it's all peachy .. but for 2003 guests it was horrendous.

If you ever are in the situation and have to support 2003 on 2012 pay attention to the Virtual Machine Queuing setting ... they can't handle it and as a result the transfer speed drops 10 fold. Turning it off .. fixes the speed issue.

Been there... walked in right in the s***storm. Seems a Domain Controller that took a dump this last weekend
had a lot more dependencies to it than originally thought. Seems SOMEone got the bright idea, drop this onto
Networks (of course).... idiots...

...and I had a headache most of the day, never mind a dry cough, I don't want a cold, but I bloody well don't
want the flu. Yay to me for forgetting to get my shot this year.

WHAT backup DC.... as we found out with this thing taking a dump.

Hearing 2nd or 3rd hand there were 3 DCs, one had a change done on it, another is / was nonfunctional (for whatever
reason) and the 3rd took the dump... and last weekend was the weekend they found this all out.

...don't you just love Murphy's Law? *sighs*

I got the weekend this week... HOPEFULLY I'm in somewhat shape to work. I'm definately not 100% but not
quite out for the count...
