Yeah we really have a mess over here when it comes to security.
It's getting pretty hard to keep level headed with all those recent incidents.

Tnx for the heads up HF, do you have a title for that special? .. makes it more easy to find. ;)

After three/four years of UPS usage I just replace then .. by then they had one or two battery swaps.. I swear APC has a kill switch.
A couple of months ago 20% of my servers got taken out by a 2000VA UPS

I bought myself a XT-1  and imho right now it's the best of both worlds when it comes to photography.
.. just have to find good deals on lenses.

@Killer
Figures... and stupid thing is you can't get a standalone PVR anymore, only provider-locked down ones, on either side of the 49th.

@Taurec
No specific title, just "dc super hero girls, broadcasting on Boomerang on Mar 19th." Believe be, been hitting refresh on the 1st
4 keywords since last week, nothing trips other than the 1min streaming specials, and those are easy enough to get. SWEEEET on the
new camera, post up some pics you take to show us what it can do.

Regarding the UPS, I may just bite the bullet and buy a completely new unit... just need to watch my budget. Far as I know the
UPS unit itself is good, I just don't know about the battery as it's one of those "generic" brands the mfr always tells you "don't
use those things, they never work."

Tall And Cold... and an extra round to the victims in Belgium.

Oh, who's going to see Batman v Superman : the comments are split 50/50. I'm reserving judgement till _I_ personally see it,
especially on Gal Gadot's performance.

Just got back from Batman v Superman. I'll say I was entertained the entire run (2.5hrs) of the movie.

What I Liked / What Worked :

- scenes showing Superman cares about humanity -- compared to Man Of Steel. THANK YOU!

- Lois and Clark in a relationship... and Clark was going to propose to Lois!

- Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. YES she is believable in the role, and has "a naughty side." Seeing the photo
of her in 1918 and the scenes leading up to her big reveal gave me goose bumps!

- callout to Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Rises -- Jeremy Iron's line "I hope the next generation of the Wayne
family shan't have to face an empty wine cellar. Though given your social calendar of late, the chances of there
being a next generation..." cracked me up. There's also elements of the Death Of Superman storyline as well.

- the Batman v Superman pissing contest. Like two little boys trying to one up one another.

- gratituous property destruction. Considering the scope of battle between Wonder Woman, Superman and Batman,
there is an internal movie logic to this.

What I Didn't Like / Didn't Make Sense :

- excessive batman origin flashbacks -- really, as if they haven't been done to death

- Batman... Likes... Using... Guns. *shudders*

- Kevin Costner flashback. Pointless Scene, really.

- video archive of other DC heros -- didn't really add to the plot and basically showed the origin story
of each in 10seconds or less. No point seeing those movies now...

- Jesse E in the Lex Character -- yes he's good as a hyperactive know-it-all Gen-X-er, but SERIOUSLY you want
to beat him with an aluminum bat every time he opens his mouth.

- hopping between Metropolis and Gotham, Bruce and Clark -- sometimes made it alittle difficult to follow things, plotwise.

- green kryptonite origins -- one trip to the Indian Ocean and suddenly presto-chango, we have green kyptonite?!

- equally absurd is the origins of Doomsday. The inmovie dialog mentions about a Council restriction against
"he who shall not be named," so somehow fooling with Kryptonian and human DNA leads to a Doomsday?!

-Batman dreams of... WTF??!?!?!

http://serverfault.com/questions/587102 ... serve-root -- how to destry a bunch of production servers by not properly vetting what you're going to do.

http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style ... 84256.html -- ...and how the internet picks up on it.

There's not enough facedesks for THIS screwup. Wow... just Wow. Never mind the backups were supposedly mounted ON the box that got nuked.

Tall And Cold, how goes everyone else otherwise?

Please note: The answers and comments to this question contains content from another, similar question that has received a lot of attention from outside media but turned out to be hoax question in some kind of viral marketing scheme. As we don't allow ServerFault to be abused in such a way, the original question has been deleted and the answers merged with this question.
Still though... if it was real, it'd be a case of "you don't need technical help, you need a lawyer or divine intervention."

Was the Supergirl TV season finale last night... STILL no official word of renewal, if CBS doesn't renew a) they're idiots for doing
this, and b) I can die happy having been privy to two live action renditions of this character in my life :-D I've LOVED all they've
done so far this season, been a helluva ride as a Supergirl fan :-D

Of my wishlist so far of what I wanted to see :
- bringing back the previous actresses who've been involved in Supergirl -- Summer Glau, Molly Quinn, Nicholle Tom, Nicole Sullivan, Laura
Vandervoort -- in some guest star role. I think it'd be a nice acknowledgement of them in the Supergirl legacy.
-- Can take Laura V off that list as she guest starred in 3 eps :-D
- Helen Slater dressed in Supergirl's costume in a "fangirl moment"... and Melissa B unexpectedly catching her doing that. It'd put one HECKUVA
smile on my face!
- Bizarro Supergirl or Dark Supergirl. Be interesting to see Melissa B play dual roles for this a la Christopher Reeve in Superman III.
-- strike this off, got both! :-D
- a Power Girl appearance -- even as a "starts as an amesiatic but is revealed to not actually be her" story.
- teamup with Batgirl -- considering the comics history Supergirl and Batgirl have had, plus the amusing romps of Super Best Friends Forever...
The crossover ep between Supergirl and Flash was six kind of ways of EPIC!! DO IT AGAIN!!

I didn't mention this, but I got a new synthsizer for my birthday. I was going back and forth between a prophet 6 and an virus ti2. I ended with the ti2 and I'm very happy with it. I was looking to get an analog machine, but I wasn't impressed with whats available in that price point. So I bought a VA. Why? I like the way its sounds and I don't have to tie myself to the computer like my vsts.

Anyway I created a quick tune with it and posted it on my site:

Its called "The Journey"

Let me know what you think. :)
