Lego Batman Movie, Two Words : WATCH IT!! I don't think I've ever heard a theater laugh out loud that much that often,
and I thought the brainf**k that was the opening credits to Deadpool couldn't be beat... but Lego Batman managed to do it! There
isn't a song that's as catch as "Everything Is Awesome" thankfully and things stay in the Lego Universe, reality-wise.

MUST WATCH THIS MOVIE AGAIN!
What is your Steam Account name?
And I can't find you on psn! So Many top_guns but no 1969 :-D

Made a movie theater marathon day of today...

Caught Ballerina first, wasn't a "kick it over the top" type of thing, but I loved the soundtrack, and would
DEFINITELY recommend it for a "viewing with the S.O." type deal.

Watched Lego Batman again. EPIC as usual!

Also caught Logan. I'll give this to Patrick Stewart : he's getting up there in age, but you could give him
ingredents of cereal to read, and he'd make it interesting! Also cracked me up one of his scenes arguing
with Jackman by reverting to certain childish actions to make a point :)

Tiny update ... seems that photography goes very well, and might need a website for portfolio building ... so guess the forum keeps afloat for a while.

Now I need a nice name for the site...

"Can I help you?, "you know this section is.." she broke off her sentence as the man walked towards her and nodded, "I think you can Captain".
Tessa looked down, "I haven't been called Captain in 4 years," Wha..what do you want?"
He gave her a devious grin, "I'm here to make sure you keep your promise."

Oh? That's good news there Tau.

Question, what's hosting cost? I may have a couple bucks to donate to cover expenses. Sure others here would be willing to donate... maybe. Also, willing to share the portfolio online? :-)

Caught Disney's Beauty And The Beast with Emma Watson et al. last night.

Stuff I Did Love :

- Emma Watson selling the Belle role like water in a drought, and seeing her doing something other than Hermione G
- lovely visuals and lush colors
- production values
- classic songs from the 1991 animated versions
- new song given for Beast while Belle leaves

Stuff that didn't quite hit the mark :

- watching Emma Watson's performance, at times it felt like she was falling back on her Hermione G persona
- at times confusing with scenes that were shot-for-shot identical to the 1991 ver, and other times "trying to do it's own thing." Kind of like reading a paper that's half original, half copied from Wikipedia.
- "expanded" / unique scenes compared to 1991 version -- while some were useful, others felt "tacked on" or useless.
- Gaston persona loathable than his 1991 persona. Still gets his comeuppance, but it felt less satisfying in this version

There's supposedly some controversy over a certain 2second scene over someone's sexual preference / orientation,
but seriously, I think there's bigger fish to fry in life.

Recommeded if you love the cast, the songs, the nostalgia factor, and/or something to watch with the S.O. but personally nothing that I felt stood
out that kicked it over it's 1991 predecessor.

Caught Power Rangers last night... I will say I didn't want to walk out during the 1st 5mins, but overall
it wasn't anything special to write home about. suspect the biggest complaint will be dark / "teen angst
dramady" comments KILL Rita Repusla? Never said that during the TV series in the 90s.. it
was all about the percieved martial arts violence.

Characters are pretty stock

Red Ranger : white jock type who's just misguided

Blue Ranger : autistic African-American but misunderstood

Black Ranger : Asian loner hiding behind a jokester facade

Yellow Ranger : sarcastic loner "labelled" girl, and implied to be LBGTQ

Pink Ranger : Queen Bee type... with a conscience

but given 3 of the 5 are in the bullied / loner type from high school, and having been bullied most of
my youth, could get behind them and invested in them during the film.

Emily Banks definitely plays Rita Repulsa as a dark evil rather than campy evil... and the scene of her
and the Yellow Ranger, couldn't tell if she wanted to recruit her, kill her or make out with her.
Her "make
my monster GROW!" line cracked the hell out of me!

Suits / Zords aren't anything special, basically what we've seen in Bay-formers or Pacific Rim, so was pretty much
for form / nostalgia's sake. Putties and Goldar are there as well, but not like you remember them.

Amy Jo Johnson & Jason David Franks have cameos in the movie, blink and you might miss them. There's also
a comment about JDF's character and the possibility said character will show up in a future installment.

Oh SWEET!! Good to hear that Taurec!!

Hope our resident chief's doing okay. Heard there's a cyclone bearing down on where he is, and the city was in lockdown. How's everyone else doing otherwise?
