...was either Fumoffu.org or the board itself down earlier this week on Sunday? Tried to bring it up, but couldn't reach it?
Caught Pacific Rim Uprising : enjoyed it, but didn't kick over the top. Other than the returning cast, with the exception of Mako,
everyone was pretty forgettable. The "big robots fighting big monsters in the streets of Tokyo" admittedly put one BIG smile on
my face, next to the shot with the Gundam in the street -- a Jaeger v a Gundam fight would've been one heckuva way to
end the movie on a meta level. I also would've liked that fight to have been alittle more about a combined-arms style of fight
rather than more of the same streetbrawling as we saw in the 1st film. Something like what we saw in EVA; the icing on
the cake would've been seeing a Jaeger-class sniper in action, with all the power of Japan in its fingertips for the final killshot.
