Episode 2
Glock 26
IOC: 1995
Caliber: 9mm x19
Weight (w/o magazine): 560g / 19.75oz
Length:
Barrel Length: 88mm / 3.46"
Magazine: 10rds
-my only curiosity is why take a gun with ONLY 10 rounds. Maybe I've
watched too many movies, etc. where ammunition count in a pistol isn't
a concern
Crisis of Doha
-anyone pick up on what this was referring to, or is it something made up
by the animators?

On a good day, a Tomahawk can fly into the door of a two-car garage at the distance of several hundred miles. And that can ruin your whole day.

The Glock 26 has an extended magazine available for 12 rounds as well.
The "Crisis of Doha" is a football (Soccer for you Amerians) reference, when the Japanese team lost in Doha and failed to qualify for the World cup a few years ago. (1992 I think. Don't really remember, but that's one of the reasons Kaname was pissed at Sousuke for the newspaper. lol)
Not sure on Gaulun's gun, but it reminds me abit of an HK-45 with Silencer and Laser Sight.

Remember kids, trying to start Armageddon is dangerous. Do not try it at home.
[14:57] Silver Lynxy: Ack. You couldn't see that?
[14:57] Katyusha [Love Through Superior Firepower]: Nope, cant see a thing.
[14:57] Katyusha [Love Through Superior Firepower]: Not using MSN remember?
[14:57] Silver Lynxy: Oh right. You're one of those Trillian people, aren't you?
[14:58] Katyusha [Love Through Superior Firepower]: trillian people? =.= What are we, an ethnicity now?
[15:00] Silver Lynxy: Yes. An evil race.

Got a link / page that confirms that Katysha, 'cuz my original info
all said the -26 only had 10 rounds.
Someone brought up Gaulun's gun in the original Weapons thread,
I'll have to find it again and get that confirmed...
For some crazy reason, I keep remembering Souske's paper was
from 1994....

The extended mag isn't manufactured by Glock. It's a 3rd party mag... it works pretty well too. I'll try to dig one up.
I never really did bother remembering the year on the paper. But considering the date it was set it (early 21st century, since Sousuke fought in Afghanistan), it's still way back enough to be pissed at. lol

If it's 3rd party, then never mind about it... Personally, I think 3rd
party stuff should be kept out of the scope of what we're covering here.

Thanks for all that info Hellfire. I'm not ready to do anything for the site with it, but it's really cool that the info is still accessible for ppl wanting it.
The anime series is set early 2001. There is a cap in the beginning of ep 2 that shows a mission memo Tessa is holding and it's dated March ? 2001.
It's readable in the larger file, which I currently don't have access to atm.
The newspaper is dated in the early 90's, forget when, but it's amazing it's still around. You'd think he'd consider using a more current paper <g>

The audience applauded, even though it was not clear what Bush meant.

Unless you've got really good eyesight, or notice everything around
you, I don't think you'd care what paper a person was reading... but
seeing Chidori's reaction on the train, well...either or

Hehe, in some places it's not uncommon to find someone reading over your shoulder when reading on a bus/train/subway, ect.
Sitting on a train or subway, if you didn't bring your own way to pass the time, reading the backside of whatever the person across from you is reading does the trick
Then, of course, there are people who are simply nosy and want to know what perfect strangers are reading

i peeked over the shoulder of the guy who was sitting next to me once. once i got to my destination i'd learned about how to breed rabbits... the HARD way.
is it really necessary to have so many rounds in a gun? after all, you don't really need it in the field except in places where your assault rifle won't fit.
hehe... found this in a Glock 26 review site.
2 pounds of Tenifer-hardened steel: $5.00 1 pound of black polymer: $2.79 26.28 ounces of pure Glock perfection: PRICELESS There are some things money can't buy. For those who try to rob you at knife-point for yours, there's Glock.

I know how much kickback a gun can have, but there's something
about the thought of having 17 rounds to fire off in less than five
seconds... *hehe*

Considering Souske's predicament, something he could hide in the
small of his back, coupled with the power of a 9mm -- from what I'm
told, the general opinion is the 9mm and .45 are ROUGHLY
comparable, I wouldn't know, I've never fired either before -- makes
the G-26 a pretty good choice here.
