Yea, the whole thing was funnier. I'm gonna miss Kurz and Mao though. ;_;. I mean that if Tesa is gonna transfer, shouldnt they at least show up? Also, the comedy was alot faster. It was BAM BAM BAM you;re laughing before you fully understand the joke. And also, the romance is played up alot mroe too. It's obvious, this is the season where it's gonna happen, people! THe love-love factor will surface! And if it doesn't, well, someone will die. And not in the series. IN REAL LIFE.
Felix comin' at ya.

AJ's looks very good, and no jitter beyond 1 ms

"Can I help you?, "you know this section is.." she broke off her sentence as the man walked towards her and nodded, "I think you can Captain".
Tessa looked down, "I haven't been called Captain in 4 years," Wha..what do you want?"
He gave her a devious grin, "I'm here to make sure you keep your promise."

Well, I volunteered to watched 4 of the avaliable subs to see which one was the most accurate, here's how I gauge them for accuracy....

1) I looks at how they translate Saeki Ena's letter and later Sousuke's interpretation, since its a major part of the joke.

2)The begining of the 2nd half, how they translate the literature pirce and again Sousuke's interpretation.

Animejunkies
Well if I *have* to say something good about them, their video quality is the best. Other than that, their typical translation inaccuracy persist here. they pass on the 2 translation points I set, but they mess up alot of the small dialogue. For a comedy series that relies on dialogue to deliver their punchlines, you're better off going with another group.

Aozora
Well, they were the fastest with a sub out, but you can see its a rushed job. Ena's translation and Sousuke's translation didn't match up well, making the joke less easy to grasp. And they totally got the translation of the literature wrong in the begining of the 2nd half. If they keep up their speed, and you *must* watch it ASAP, then go with this group.

Anime-Keep
A solid translation, with only a few misses, like the number shoes destroyed. They were only group careful enough to not miss the gunshot censors that happened during Sousuke's initial explaination to Kaname about destroying the lockers. In the literature piece, they opted to voice out the passage in romanji, which is good and bad at the same time. Bad, cause you don't know what the passage really means until you read Kaname's notes later, good cause you'll really absorb Sousuke's gross misinterpretation.

Anime-Fansubs+AnimeFactory
Another solid translation. accurate on the letters and literature, not much fault I can put on them at all. However, their encode is smaller than the other 3 groups, so the picture suffers slightly if you expand it to fullscreen.

In ending, I'll rank them in the following:
1)AK
1)A-F+AF
3)AJ
4)Aozora

Yes, its a tie for 1st. A-F+AF has the most accurate word for word translation, but AK gets points for paying attention to small details. AJ comes in at the distant 3rd, not even its high video quality can save it IMO. Aozora? well they put in a valiant effort for sure.

Just ot part with a small note. Every group seems to make up their own name for the wrestling move Kaname used on Sousuke... Since Kyoko blurted out the name so fast, even I can't begin to decipher what it is.... :)

@Urz
Ya forgot to mention AC-WPP... well, with my limited Japanese knowledge
I can't comment on their accuracy. I DID notice they giave some more
details, like the name of the apartment complex, Chidori's wrestling move,
the name of that psycho YUA driver, among others. Video-wise is
quite poor... I THINK they use DivX3-SBC (aka. block-fest come high-
motion scenes), or just had a poor RAW source.

Think I'll follow your advice and go between AK and A-FAF... I got CDs
and bandwidth to spare :-D

ok just saw it, and sadly I have to say that I didnt like it, sure it was fmp , but it was more or less (atleast to me) just trying to milk the standard fmp gags .... I dunno... it was the first ep so I guess I will have to wait before I become too critical.

Verry funny I was laughing my head off.

I love the scene where chidori was mad at souske in the train
shaking his head up and down.
