What really happened at the end ????

Post by Xvow »

I just finished the whole series, it was such a good anime!!! In my top 3 for sure!!! but im a lil confused about the end ..... has anyone else seen the whole thing ???? im wondering who sagara really likes ????? Was it the captain or kaname ???? im so confused by that ..... help me ease my wondering mind and tell me lol ..... kaname told sagara to go " tell her " ( the captain ) .... then he walked over and said somethinto her but you couldnt hear wha they were sayin then the captain starts cryin and jumps in his arms ..... then after that he takes kaname out fishing and tells her how its because of her hes alive and all this and sayin how when hes with her he bileaves be can do anything ect. but she says like shes only got 30mins untill she has to get on the plane to go back to tokoyo... then it ends with him and kaname catching a fish ..... Is he still protecting her ???? is that the last time they see each other ????? ARGHHHH i hate it when they end animes like this and keep you thinking, now i got no idea what the hell happened after that!!!

@Xvow
Refer to this thread to see the kinds of debates we've gotten into over who
exactly Sagara likes

...and if you've seen alot of anime, you KNOW how much they LOVE
leaving the fans in the lurch over seeing the resolution of a love triangle,
or seeing the consummation of a romantic love :evil:

Last but not least, welcome to the boards!

On a good day, a Tomahawk can fly into the door of a two-car garage at the distance of several hundred miles. And that can ruin your whole day.

Xvow,

The other alternative to not knowing what happened at the end is to use your imagination. When things are left unresolved like that, it leaves so much room for creativity. I'm mentally working on a story that picks up right where the anime leaves off, starting with Kaname missing her plane. :) That's why I'm asking for details about her family.

Kaname missing her plane?! ACK!!! *cue the halisen beat-down scene* :-P

@PookaKitten
AFAIK, there's never been much revelation into Kaname's family, other
than her father and younger sister in NYC... mind you, I'm just going off
that brief look at her bio in the first ep before Kalinin sent Mao and co. to
Tokyo.

Well, there is a revelation that her mother passed away a short while before the beginning of the anime. The watch that Kaname wears was actually her Mom's. I think she dies from cancer.
