[Opinion] What do you want to see in 2nd Season

on a totally different season 2 topic.....

there's this girl that's always with the student council president, her name escapes me right now. i'm assuming she's the president's defacto girlfriend (or at least wants to be - i think i read somewhere that he is not returning her affection - kinda cold and withdrawn, too 'presidential'). let's see. quiet, reserved, but she shows that she's caring and observative in episode 3 (steel summer) by noticing kaname's depression. and the way she's animated (or not, in most cases) is absolutely cute ^v^ don't you think?

wonder if we're gonna get to see more of her in the following episodes...

Yeh. Interesting triangle.

Sousuke is...Sousuke. He is making an interesting journey of discovery slowly, though his surroundings often end up the worse for wear. How long before he loosens up more and flips out less? How much more collateral damage will there be (too bad some accountant is not keeping track...must be close to the GNP of a small nation, already...)? There ARE things besides guns, subs, grenades, orders, etc. How much time has he had to spend in society...with peers his own age...doing teenage things...around teenagers of the opposite sex, especially? The condom scene is a classic...and the dating sim...the movie...CPR...etc.

Kaname was strangely drawn to him before he did anything heroic...when he was simply different and interesting (Hell, might as well say bizarre). She's got some ideas of what a guy should do, but he refuses to do what's 'right'...he obviously hasn't read her script! Half the time she seems to try to beat some sense into him, but she has her soft moments...the latter probably confuse him more than the former. But at least she's ostensibly popular with folks her own age, and has a chance to hang around other teenagers...she's probably looking or hoping for something, and is in an environment where she at least has a chance to find it. It may take a while, and may not end up what she thinks it might be...but at least she has a decent chance.

Tessa, on the other hand, is bright enough and stuck right in the middle of a command structure, that I wonder how many people still think of her as a teenager...and how many friends does she have her own age? Is Mao the closest thing she has as a friend? How many teenage guys does she have a chance to develop a crush for? How lonely is she? She certainly had the guts to be 'passively' forward at the beach, and came out and told Kaname what she felt...though she seems to be missing some scruples where Sousuke is involved. Mighty tight spot she is in. How does she manage to remain objective at all about Sousuke...how hard it must be to send him into danger...or near Kaname...

Still don't see how Tessa has a chance...If she kept Sousuke close to HER, and overstepped protocols and propriety enough to erode his soldier-and-his-superior-officer response and catch his eye, she would no doubt hear it from her Advisors, if not her higher ups. Folks no doubt would still talk if she was more subtle, and monopolized all of his leave time, etc. Though, regardless, I wonder if Sousuke could unwind around her...or if he might feel any subconscious attraction to her (cue the Bingo scene)? Kaname has opportunities to bond more through daily routine; bizarre happenstance; and rare moments of hearttfelt gratitude or emotions.

Of course, even if the two ladies came to some agreement: Sousuke is still...Sousuke. For him I think evolution is more important than simple adaptation...both can take a while...

At least FMP 1 & 2 are not harem shows...no GXP, Tenchi Muyo, Tylor, or Love Hina (etc.) stuff. Keeps it simpler, if not simple. So far.

What will be the effect of the headband dude, Tessa's brother, etc...?

Uses the old and tired love-triangle, but at least there's enough plot
to conceal most of it, and it's more subtle than others...

A few real twisters I would like to see.

Mao and Kurz becoming a hot hot hot item.

Kyouko kicking some bad guys arse royally

Sousuki vs godzilla

Kaname having to actually hold and maybe pull the trigger on a gun. (maybe saving Sousuke's arse?)

Mithral vs a USSR fleet

Gaulun getting the mosimbique drill done to him. (2 to the body one to the head)

Kaname and Sousuke dating.
