Can anyone say what is going on with the quality of the video animation?
I've only seen ep 1 so far, and the quality seemed pretty damn fine to me (more than I expected).

Can this be directly connected to different studios working on different episodes (as was discussed in another thread)? Can the not-as-good looking eps be tagged to which ever studio assisted on it? (ie, is there one studio that is turning these out?)

I guess I'm looking for...is this a series-wide trend (like decreasing budget or they're doing the suck em in early and screw em later routine), or just a few crap out-sourced episodes like the first series had?

I watched the episode again, personally, I don't see anything really bad about it. (At least not to the degree of the Nerema Daikon episode.)

Its not fair towards FMPfumofu to be compared to FMP, since they're completely different types of anime. FMP1 was mecha action, for better or worse, a geek anime. fumofu is a comedy, and dialogue and character are more important than trying to portray fancy militray equipment.

It like trying to compare the FMP novel to the FMP manga to the Ikinane-FMP manga, the 3 are just completely different.

I'll leave the impression of Tessa and Mardukas alone since they're more personal opnions than technicalities... As for Mao... she acted exactly how one would expect Mao would act, no?

Fact is as comedy this ep was very god so VERY funny.
I feel very sorry for Sousuke, hehehe

dialogue and character are more important than trying to portray fancy militray equipment

Well I have to agree with Samantha, i would have liked they they would spend a little more detail to the persons that where in it, (hey that glock looked detailed enough)

Mardukas didn't really looked quite alright, and i know they can do better, but now they are taking the easy way out by throwing in glows etc.
no point in crying over spilled vodka ..

It's only natural to expect more from a second season BUT

Urz is right you can't compare it to the original based on ...... one of them serious two

Now i'm not a Tessa fan, but what they made out of her just didn't seem right. they are kinda undermining her character.
(note to self can't compare ... keep that in mind)

Anyway all is forgiven by the Tessa Shower Bonta-kun Banana incident..

...somehow Tessa's seiyuu overplayed that 'brainless, blonde, and
bimbo' routine. I swear her voice must've been hitting the stratosphere
notes the whole ep... ergh!!

Of course the animation quality is lower sometimes these are fan subs ripped from the TV. It's not like they can copy the show from the DVD's which aren't even out since the show is still on going. And besides the first season obviously had a major budget compared to fumoffu. Also most of us are downloading these onto are PC's I have a high end computer and if the file wasn't encoded in high quality your stuck with it. I downloaded a few episodes of the the 1st season I loved it so much I bought the DVD's and when fumoffu comes out then I'll buy those as well. So if you didn't notice the animation and the attention to detail was lower in fumoffu then you haven't watched both series enough.

I thought this episode was hilarious the only thing I didn't like was how it took nearlly have the episode before Tessa really showed up, and the fact that Chidori and Tessa fighting over Sousuke was at the very end and didn't last to long.

We are not talking about encode quality, Some of us have some gripes about pure character design.
Please don't make an assumption on how many times some of us have watched the series, since FMP is way longer around than those encodes
on BT

.... anime detail is in the eye of the beholder

I enjoyed the episode a lot, I just got it today, and I noticed that Mardukas looked different. Everyone else looked pretty much the same though.

I think I've gotten over the fact that it's inevitable that Kaname will be the one who will steal Sousuke... oh well. Hehe.

I don't want to offend anyone, I'm sorry if I did. I wasn't talking entirely about the encoding. I also mentioned the budget. That's probably the main reason why the the animation went down the production schedule and budget probably being the biggest factor. I was only pointing out all these things because some fans haven't even seen the 2nd series yet and don't know how the animation quality went down but the comedy went way up. To me eye candy and detail don't make a good show as long as I like it I don't really care what it looks like. Still I think the quality is more than adequete for the fumoffu, still we all want the detail of the 1st season of well.

bad idea to pass judgement on how many times people watched the show tho... hehehe... since we have some _really_ serious FMP freaks here (me not being the last of those)

hahaha but everything that a guy has been dreaming of TEssa was fulfilled in this episode.. I STILL think she's overrated!

PLus.. the Funniest bit was when the poriddge dropped on poor sousuke's face! hahahahaa..

sousuke looks horrible.. I was not able to take any screen shots of him to add to my sousuke collection at all!! ( haven't been able to have much screen shots of him in fummo.. )

- Paternal instincts? of Mardukas? BTW, I don't think Sousuke has
enough grey matter to even THINK of thinking of making an 'inappropriate
move' on his Captain
