FMP?F Schedule
I figured I'd repost Kyoto's link with FMP?F's airing/release schedule again. All the shows up to show #11 are listed as well as a release date of the "Full Metal Panic? Fummofu First Shot" DVD, which contains the first 2 shows and "2 unaired episodes". Now don't ask me if it is 2 full episodes, or two half episodes, cuz I sure don't know.
At anyrate, without and further ado,

RAWs usually 24 hours at most... but subs can be as short as that too.
Last FMP!F ep came hours after the RAW was rel'd.
...least we're looking at a weekly release schedule for the rest of FMP!F
No complains here!!
Regards

Are the chances of another season good?
And Pookakitten, you just got me even more confused on when the show takes place. In the last episode, didn't they show a screenshot of Marduk on the submarine when he was saluting Chidori? And the submarine was under repairs, so maybe that was because of the whole fight with Gauln. So this must mean it takes place after the first FMP right? But why did Chidori have to introduce herself to Tessa if they knew each other so well already? But then again that could have been because Tessa is a captain of a secret organization and they have to keep this under wraps. But I keep reading around here how these stories are based on side stories in and around the bulk of the plot from FMP, so that means... ARGH! so VERY confused
[Edited later]
Okay so new theory, MAYBE it takes place during FMP AND after FMP, the last episode taking place maybe just right after.
Jeez, this is more confusing than Einstein's non-linear differential equations on mass-energy conversions

Chances of another season? Don't know.
There is material on which to base another series like the first one.
Maybe how they end F will give a clue about if they have any plans to keep animating or not, but I defiantly would not put money on it.
About the rest of your post-
The whole story of FMP has been split into 2 story types- this is how FMP was first published.
The first series (FMP!) was based on the heavy, serious, thick plot novels, with alot of Mithril stuff, ect.
The second series (FMP? or FMP?F) is based on the fluffy, comedy short stories that are mostly centered at the high school.
The FMP?F series is not a direct contiuation of the first series- its even possible to imagine that some of the F episodes took place between story arcs in the first series (this is the way the manga combines both story types).
The two different story types are told side-by-side, but not directly connected, so don't hurt your head trying to put them together
If they do another series, I (like many) expect that they would do another FMP! story continuing the serious story from where the first series left off.
It will be a while before we know if they will do that or not though.
(Influences to consider for a 3rd series- popularity/success/interest by japanese audience; interest by the creators; a budget for it, along with projected profits; no conflicting projects for any of the main ppl involved; an animation studio (gonzo?) willing to do it...ect ect- no way to really tell unless they make an announcement.)

The audience applauded, even though it was not clear what Bush meant.
@Neko
Yes, Tessa's visit to Japan episodes take place right after the end of the first series. Actually FMP novles(which the 1st series was based on) has continuity with some short stories.
In Fumoffu, Kaname already knows Tessa, but her friends don't know that and ask her to salute Tessa.
I'd really love to see a 3rd season since I really loved the novels. Actually, the 1st season doesn't reveal FMP's genuine plot. In the novels Kaname has another agent who protects her besides Sousuke and the one who developed the hacking program to the submarine is Tessa's brother. And he seems to be the leader of Amalgam which is against Mithril. They cut these important underplots connected to later development so I wonder if that would make it kinda difficult for them to do a 3rd season. However they left off the secrets of the Whisperd and Black Technology, so they may feel the needs to explain them in a new series...

Its good to know they have a lot of material to work with to make another season. I'll keep my fingers crossed
And for the 99.9999% of the people that don't know this, the newest episode has been RELEASED!!!!
Those A-F & AF people work FAST.
