VSS Vintorez ammunition?

Maybe this belongs in the Armory section, I don't know.

In Fumoffu 12, when Weber, Kazama and Onuki (sp?) try to peep on the girls at night, was the VSS Vintorez (Kurz's gun), which I assume was a sniper rifle, a conventional firearm that shoots bullets, or an energy weapon that shot out presumably lasers?

Russian special ops rifle developed in 1987. 9x39mm Sp-5 and Sp-6 subsonic cartridges. Lowered bullet speeds allows suppressor use.

Keep that info handy ppl. We're barely over 1/2 way thru doing
the weapons in FMP!. Though I'd love the challenge of doing it
for Fumoffu as well, 1) short of personnel, 2) short on time

Thx for ID'ing that though... always wondered what it was

Thanks for link, Tsushima. Wish the article stated it's advantages
over other sniping excellents, like the PSG-1, etc. but that's just me
