"Can I help you?, "you know this section is.." she broke off her sentence as the man walked towards her and nodded, "I think you can Captain".
Tessa looked down, "I haven't been called Captain in 4 years," Wha..what do you want?"
He gave her a devious grin, "I'm here to make sure you keep your promise."

Nhhhhh
This went from very technical, to very weird....
This is exactly what my real life freinds do (not many of them ) they talk about complicated things, break down into arguing then insult each other meaninglessly....
I expected better from FMP fans....
Of course when it comes to silly I can beat all of you
"Why is the defensse not wearing pants?"
On another note, good job with all the gun info, sure i had to get someone to explain what it all meant but i know a fair bit more then i came in here with....

Well we are real humans on this board, we all have a thing in common, that like FMP, and we like ANIME,conador2 wrote:This went from very technical, to very weird....

And yes we are all real people behind the keys so why do expect that it's totally different from RL ???
On the insults part.... if you would have taken the time to read a few more threads you might filter out that the "insults" we are making aren't real..
- yes i know we have a rather eeuh strange posting style -
As soon if we detect that things really get heated .. "the Management" will take action.
This place was made in the first place for the share fun of us visitors.
As you can see for yourself right now we have a very loose policy.
For some of us this is appealing, for some it seems crazy.
But true we tend to go a "bit" off-topic .. but right now .. it's not that big of a problem..
as for me i'm guilty as charged. but i'll try to improve my posting habits.....
Well you just joined yesterday, try to get to know us first BEFORE you pass judgement ...conador2 wrote: I expected better from FMP fans....

I was cranky yesterday. My favourite forum in the whole wide world where I genuinely do spend several hours a day posting was hacked and basically destroyed and won't be back for... *shrugs* a while. Dammit. And I'm cranky today because my sister took too long blowdrying my hair and I turned all feral on her and nearly took her ankles off with my teeth.
So gimme a little bit of leeway to be offensive to people, please? *big puppy dog eyes* You can always post afterwards "Just ignore Weez, she's not always like this".

Awww poor feral weezy....it so much must suck to be at home
If you want, you can go bang around in the bar
That worked for me
Or get in the pillow fight and take a good whack at whoever who's ankles you want to bite off <g> Noone's used teeth in there, yet, and it might be more effective than your kitchen implement
I think you can be cranky with whoever you want, if they've posted more than ten times
After ten posts, they should already know how we're all a little wierd and sometimes cranky. Before ten posts, let Taurec and I deal with them
And if you want to post a cranky post, go ahead, but it may be censored, but please forgive us if it is.
Taurec didn't act to censor you, really, he was just acting to prevent a new member who may stay and play with us from tipping the board and running home prematurely, that's all.
I hope you're feeling better, and that your sister is allowed to keep her feet

Alright, kiddies-
I'm back, and here are the first 2 gun scans- these are from the new anime mission guidebook. There's a ton o'mech info in it...but this appears to be it on the human sized stuff.
small version
big big version- double size.
Same dealie- small
monster.
If larger is needed ( ), I can supply. They're in japanese, of course.
I'll be getting more up as I can get scanned in the hectic minutes between playing catch-up+holiday at home.

Since this seems to be on the topic of weapons systems, just thought it might be useful to indentify a few of the "heavier weapons". The missile the Danaan launched at the Soviet research lab was the TLAM-C (Tomahawk, Land Attack Missile configuration, Warhead type C) variant of the U.S. Navy's Tomahawk cruise missile. The "C" type warhead is a single, large, 454kg apx. HE warhead. Other warheads include the "D", a version designed to drop cluster munitions and "N", a nuclear warhead. The complete charactaristics of the Tomahawk are as follows:
Primary Function: long-range subsonic cruise missile for striking high value or heavily defended land targets.
Contractor: Raytheon Systems Company, Tucson, Ariz.
Unit Cost: approximately $600,000 (from last production contract)
Power Plant: Williams International F107-WR-402 cruise turbo-fan engine; CSD/ARC solid-fuel booster
Length: 18 feet 3 inches (5.56 meters); with booster: 20 feet 6 inches (6.25 meters)
Weight: 2,900 pounds (1,315.44 kg); 3,500 pounds (1,587.6 kg) with booster
Diameter: 20.4 inches (51.81 cm)
Wing Span: 8 feet 9 inches (2.67 meters)
Range: 870 nautical miles (1000 statute miles, 1609 km)
Speed: Subsonic - about 550 mph (880 km/h)
Guidance System: TERCOM, DSMAC, and GPS (Block III only)
Warheads: 454 kilograms or conventional submunitions dispenser with combined effect bomblets.
Date Deployed: 1986 - IOC; 1994 - Block III
I'm not really sure about what vehicles were used to defend the Facility where Takuma was being held when A21 attacked, but it they look like the U.S.M.C.'s LAV-40.
The Torpedoes fired by the USS Pasadena at the Danaan are Mk.48 ADCAPs (Advanced Capability). The specs for those are as follows:
Primary Function: Heavyweight torpedo for submarines
Contractor: Gould Industries
Power Plant: Piston engine; pump jet
Length: 19 feet (5.79 meters)
Weight: 3,434 lbs (1545.3 kg) (MK-48); 3,695 lbs (1662.75 kg) (MK-48 ADCAP)
Diameter: 21 inches (53.34 centimeters)
Range: Greater than 5 miles (8 km)
Depth: Greater than 1,200 ft (365.76 meters)
Speed: Greater than 28 knots (32.2 mph, 51.52 kph)
Guidance System: Wire guided and passive/active acoustic homing
Warhead: 650 lbs (292.5 kg) high explosive
Date Deployed: 1972
And the Missiles fired at the Ticonderoga class Cruiser were RGM-84 "Harpoons", the Sea-launched variant of the AGM-84A. And the specs:
Primary Function: Air, surface, or submarine launched anti-surface (anti-ship) cruise missile.
Contractor: Boeing Aeronatics
Power Plant: Teledyne CAE-JA02 Turbojet and solid propellant booster for surface and submarine launch
Thrust: 660 pounds (approximately 299.38 kilograms)
Length: 12 feet, 7 inches (3.8354 meters) – air launched; 15 feet (4.572 meters) – surface and submarine launched.
Weight: 1,145 pounds (519.372 kilograms) – air launched; 1,385 pounds (628.236 kilograms) – submarine or ship launched from box or canister launcher.
Diameter: 13.5 inches (34.29 centimeters)
Wing Span: 3 feet (91.44 centimeters) with booster fins and wings.
Range: Over-the-horizon, in excess of 60 nautical miles.
Speed: High Subsonic (apx. Mach 0.85 at 50 feet ASL)
Guidance: Sea-skimming cruise monitored by radar altimeter, active radar terminal homing.
Warhead: Penetration high-explosive blast (488 pounds/224 kilograms)
Unit Cost: $720,000
Date Deployed: 1985
I'm also not sure about the missiles the Mi-24 Hinds keep firing, but presumably, they are the AT-2 "Swatter" anti-tank missile. Considering how hard it is to get specs on Soviet made equipment, I don't have it's specs. Depending on what Model Hind was used, the calibre of the ammo they fired from their guns was either 23mm or 30mm. I'll try to find specs on the rest of the heavy equipment ASAP. Gah... I'm starting to sound like Shinji...

Remember kids, trying to start Armageddon is dangerous. Do not try it at home.
