Would someone be so kind as to enlighten me,
When people say Full Metalo Panic NOvels .
Do they refer to Graphic Novels?Or 2000 page epics like the hitch hiker's guide to de Galaxy?
I thought FMP started out as a Manga?
Please advise.
Also is a 3rd Season going to be made soon?
I'm afraid that this might be the last we see of the FMP gang.

i don't know the exact page count but they are "real" (short) 300+ pages novels afaik


3rd season ... who knows?... don't count on it this year .. <g>


Full Metal Alchemist, we have started a thead in AD about FMA,
imho it is a very nice anime.
i have seen 21 eps so far and i can't wait till episode 22 ... before you ask

- Briefly, YES FMP! began as a written novel (like Hitchhiker's) with illustrations.
- There are two seperate "versions" of the manga, which came out
after the novels _I THINK_; read the above link to find out how they differ.

Gonzo's working on a series called Chrno Crusade (think ghost-busting
nuns in the 1920s) which is also getting rave reviews in our Anime Droolings
section.

GONZO's working on other projects doesn't have anything to do with if they'll participate in a 3rd series. And GONZO didn't do the 2nd, anyway.
Work on a 3rd one isn't imminent.

In fact, as far as we currently know, there is no 3rd series in the works. We just have to sit back and be patient, waiting to see if they will make one. It could reasonably be several months before we hear of one, and it could easily be a year before it airs.

As for the novels, yeah, HF you're right, they were first.

a 3rd season dosn't look too promising. I watched the "extras" that are on the ADV DVDs. There was one where there is an interview with Shoji Gatoh about the first series, and he said that 'when it was finished" he wants to do a series based on the short stories. So, even when he was working on the first season, he had the second planned out. Even though it is possible to have a 3rd season, it is entirely dependent on the market in Japan for a continuation. And even then, Shoji Gatoh has to have a want for it to be done.

But I'll keep my fingers crossed. (well, not while I'm typing anyway.LOL)

I heard the Novel's have already continued far beyond the Series.

To tell you the truth I think that I'm so stuck on this Series that I'm going to turn fanatical after I watch it a few more times.

I may have to learn proper japanese to hold on to my fragile sanity.

Either that somebody recommend me something good to watch please.
