If you ask me, "It's better than that one show" doesn't really make it..."good".

That said, comparing the first episodes of both series, I think they've both got an awfully crappy start.

I really liked the Aya - chop some sakura - scene.

Hell, if a first ep raw is better than a first ep sub... that's gotta be something.

I wasn't that impressed by Ikkitousen, and after the first ep, I didn't feel like watching anymore, so Tenjou Tenge > Ikkitousen for me.

I just watched it and I really dig Aya and Maya... only problem is... I don't understand wtf just happened.

Is there any word on whether any fansub groups will take on this anime, or is this Geneon USA issue going to impede it?

There's always going to be at least one fansub group out there with total disregard for laws and the concept of having to pay money for higher quality DVDs.

Well, A-S is pretty good. They chose good fonts and everything, and their translations are fine as well. I only noticed one error where rouge should have been rogue.

It was much more enjoyable when I could finally understand what the hell was going on. Takayanagi Masataka is my fav. character right now, and he seems to be the narrator as well.

Finally had a chance to catch #1. Ikki / Tenjou comparisons aside...
MORE KICK-ASS FIGHTS!! And I wanna know what's up with Maya
and her 'conserve energy' crap. That and those grasshopper antenna
just DON'T do much for her... Her sister Aya, well... the less said, the better.

...so when's #2 coming out?
