The Meeting (GI 11)

Post by Esyla »

Part 11

“Will every one please sit down!” Tessa shouted over the chattering people. Some looked a little shocked at this scream but all were now seated. “Thank you. They are all yours Mr. Janssen.” Tessa step off the podium and took a seat in the front.

“Thank you Miss Tessa. All right I will try to keep this as simple as possible but stop me if I get caught on a tangent. We are here to discuss the reason for the kidnapping of the Whispered, or should I say the one Whispered and the possible Whispered. Yes on to the point. For many years now there has been a rumor circulating that there might be, if you will “Key Whispered” that exists. The theory is that some Whispered are more powerful than others and that there may be some that have the power to channel that power and do greater things with it.

“Well until about a year ago that was only speculation. But then a rather large amount of odd documents were found. I say this because they were found in the Vatican. These documents were about the power and abilities of what the writer called “The Fates”. Now up until the later years in the great power of Greece there were only two fates that ruled the power of life and death. Later the third was added for reasons that we are still not sure.

“Dude you are losing me!” Kurtz yelled out. Melissa shot him an evil glare; she was lost too but was not going to say anything about it. She looked over at Darres but he was just staring off into the space around Mr. Janssen. He had not had a good grip on what was going on since the phone call; every one was worried about him.

“Sorry, I will continue. The point is that with Natasha’s abilities it is easy to see that she is one of these two. She could also be used to get her aunt and uncle to work. That is if what we believe is correct. We must also take into consideration the work that her aunt, Mrs. Lord, had been doing. She had been developing a machine that could harness the power of the Whispered and use it for other things. Her Uncle, Mr. Lord, had been experimenting with the idea of hooking these machines to weapons. Already I am sure that you can tell this is not a light subject.

“The even scarier part of this whole thing is who her father is. Derek Roma has been in trouble with the human rights foundations for years now. He is a scientist that works with genetics and testing substances and their effects on humans. He was in a recent lawsuit from his mother in law for testing on one of his sons. With this information in mind it is possible that Natasha’s father might have run tests on her when he found her abilities. We also believe that it might be possible that he has created all of his children to be Whispered.

“Mr. Janssen, can you please move on to the matter at hand. The subjects father may be discussed at a later date.” One of the other captains said. It seemed that he didn’t find this information useful.

“I promise there is a point. If I may continue, thank you. Well after the documents were read over it was easy to see that the key Whispered are extremely powerful. If in fact Natasha’s father tampered with her genetics she may have become twice as powerful as expected. When her powers are hooked to the machine that her aunt and uncle were creating, well an area the size of Road Island would not stand a chance. That is if she is The Death Bringer, if Natasha is the other, The Fate Chooser, than we have and even graver situation at hand.

The room was silent. The effect of this information was devastating. Natasha might have the ability to wipe out an entire state, or worse. But the worst part of it all was that either way Loki and Natasha together could cause great damage. And the over the top part was that some one knew this and was most likely going to use it against their enemies. Darres was the first to move. “So who do we plan on getting them back?”

“Well, you see. There is a bit of a… as soon as we can … it would take more resources than we have…” He was stumbling around with his thoughts. Finally Tessa stopped him.

“We have no leads as to where they might even be. Some of the top network spies are on the case and we are still completely in the dark.” Tessa couldn’t look Darres in the eye. She was looking off to the side avoiding his gaze. Darres eyes welled up; he put his head in his hands.

The room didn’t move. But soon the man had to go on. He told them of the possible different powers of both the D.B. and F.C. It was terrifying to some of the people in the room. The man brought out the old texts on a power point to show them diagrams. But this meant nothing because even with this information they could do nothing. The meeting dragged on for hours. That was of course until a face popped up on the screen.

“Hello Mithril. Hello Darres.” The man said. He was a slightly older man, some on who had seen more than even his years should allow. He had dark eyes that penetrated the hearts of those that looked into them. His skin was tan from weeks spent on an island vacationing. His hair was a wavy mess of black. But the facial expression and build was very familiar to many members of the meeting.

“Dad! What the hell are you doing here?” Darres screamed at the screen.

ARGH!
Can't anybody make things simple?

I have liked this alot, so I need more........

Just a small question, but why does a number of the female forum member dislike Tessa?

Something in Fummofu, or the mangna that shows Tessa in a different light?

i think i went over this but i can give you a little recap

inshort Tessa breaks one of the unspoken laws( aka female code of ethics)
she goes after some one who has already been claimed
normaly violating that rule in real life would get you a nast bitch slap from all the other girls best friends
but because manga writers dont understand how these things work *looking at the series i am guessing that the writer is a male*

its kinda like dating your bestfriends ex
its not something that you should do

there are others but i cant remeber them

Ah, situational ethics, I see.

Continue writing, I do enjoy it, greatly.

Just trying to find reasons for things, logical or otherwise.
