dumb question .... FMP in another time

Post by Avlor »

Ok - whilst me brain still be in medieval mode...

If FMP were in medievel times -

1) what weapons would Sousuke use and be proficient with?
2) would Kaname wear a bodice instead of a short skirt, or maybe the legendary "gates of hell" gown - the sideless sircote, or maybe a cute little kimono?

--------------------------------------------------
1) I think he would be a siege engine (trebuchet) captain and use a crossbow.
2) I'd put her in a really tight bodice and watch Sousuke's eyes pop out when he sees her. :)

for Souske id say he be using a crossbow as a primary weapon, since it can be fairly small and consealed..
A forum post should be like a skirt. Long enough to cover the subject material, but short enough to keep things interesting.

Interesting...

Crossbow, for sure- fast, strong, portable, projectile...

I think Kaname would be higher class given her dad's assumed position- she would wear a bodice for daily wear, but she would probably be expected to wear the higher class dress kind over full flattening corset. Buuuuuut- Kaname being Kaname, I'm sure she'd wear whatever she liked- even if it were bar-wench wear  Butt-style bosom overspilling the top was court fashionable for some periods...
I don't see her in full panniers or hoopskirts- maybe a bunroll or trestle for when special occassions demanded it.

Hmmm... aaaand- if she did live nicely, she probably went along with it all pretty well and almost be a model lady (minus her undesireable tendancy to spout off at the mouth, unattractive inability to hide her basic emotions, and frightening loud laugh). She'd probably carry a horse whip instead of a halisen.

Sousuke should be thankful to live in modern times. :-D

Minor prob, though.
In medieval times, Chidori will use a real club instead of a make-shift paper fan club.
Poor Sousuke.

...Sousuke'd probably be dead the first time he met Kaname 'cuz she'd
force him to commit seppuku<sp?> for touching her.... you knows :-D

What'd we have in place of BlackTech, though? Modern Western Science,
like firearms, etc. perhaps?

hehe interesting theory.
that could have happend but then again maybe not

I think sousuke would be well aware of the rules in that perod of time
sousuke is a rule follower and wouldn't wanna break one until the last moment

anyway seppuku could have happend anyway¨ :-D
cause Kaname may have been Irritated from his attitude....
IT'S TRUE THAT WE HAVEN'T SEEN EACH OTHER IN A LONG TIME. BUT YOU ACTUALLY SAID " DO I KNOW YOU? ". IT ALMOST MADE ME CRY ~SIGH~

Heh, I thought Av meant european medieval.

Japanese medieval, Kaname would be even less desireable than in pretty much any other time and place heh. But we saw her in that traditional kimono style already.
Force Sousuke to commit seppuku? I can't imagine her being calm enough to allow it properly ;)

Sousuke wouldn't be one of those court samurai- he'd probably still mess everything up when he had to pass as a non-fighter. :-D

Sousuke could take "the ways of the samurai" to an extreme :-D
-

"Can I help you?, "you know this section is.." she broke off her sentence as the man walked towards her and nodded, "I think you can Captain".
Tessa looked down, "I haven't been called Captain in 4 years," Wha..what do you want?"
He gave her a devious grin, "I'm here to make sure you keep your promise."

...there'd be alot of bodies and blood, but thankfully most of the structures'd
still be standing, unlike Jindai High

I'm glad y'all are having fun with this. I was feeling goofy and fuzzy when I brought it up. I started out thinking European (cause I'm a Viking - I'm Euro-centric sometimes) But then I thought - heck they're Japanese, and so I brought up the Kimono bit. If Sousuke was in medieval Japan - he'd probably use a sword and/or a bow (as samurai's did). He'd probably "hide" himself in society as a Ronin.

@Kashim

Doh - that would be a blast. (Thier armor almost looks like it can stand and walk on it's own, when It hangs on a stand.) Who says it has to be "realistic" for the times?
