It is Sousuke
Dragon Magazine, which is serializing the FMP stories as they're written. Each chapter includes 4 or 5 illustrations, only a few of which acutally end up in the published books. This chapter is from the 8 2003 issue.
If you read that translation of the Cinderella chapter, this chapter appears to be similar- the gang in an RP-world, and Sousuke just happens to have a crossbow <g>

The audience applauded, even though it was not clear what Bush meant.

Sorry- Role Play.
Dungeons and Dragons being the first big one, mostly pesudo-medieval fantasy (tolken) theme games. Dice, pen and paper, evolved into online text-based MUDs (multi-user dungeon/dimension/ect) and so on. Ragnarok Online is only one recent example of one type of the original concept.

On a good day, a Tomahawk can fly into the door of a two-car garage at the distance of several hundred miles. And that can ruin your whole day.

Evolved? Dice, Pen and Paper has never left! It's still the best in my opinion.
The Honor of Good RPG games must be avenged!
D&D is actually more of a wargame than an RPG game. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise. D&D became popular in part, because Gary Gygax's daughter was hot and TSR was the first one out there. However, There are much better systems out there, for flexibility, playability, realism, world selection, and game design. GURPS (Generic Universal Roleplaying System by Steve Jackson is a true RP game. Trust me on this one. I've got experience with it. A true roleplaying game allows you to completely control/customize/create your character. So if you want a bloody healing mage with a sword you can do that in GURPS (unlike D&D or AD&D).
Blargh. Yrth kicks AD&D's Ass. *lowers hackels*
Right and for your message from the Illuminati go to www.sjgames.com
It's amusing to say the least.
A plant from Death Valley squeezes the conquering rom chip.

Aw jeez. The details you talk about are meaningless to anyone who asks, "What is RP?"Andrei Burnside wrote:Evolved? Dice, Pen and Paper has never left! It's still the best in my opinion.

Yeah yeah, dice and pnp are still around, as are muds and all that jazz, but all of the new stuff came from the old stuff. D&D didn't start the whole concept, but it's what got popular enough to enable other systems and following play formats and variations and such come about. They're all connected, and without D&D there probably wouldn't acutally be groups of people running around the woods in costume, 'defeating' mobs, and gaining experience points. For real
For the FMP chapter, considering I have absloutely no idea if there are any real specifics this particular story is based on, the only thing to call it is RP style<g>
