"Can I help you?, "you know this section is.." she broke off her sentence as the man walked towards her and nodded, "I think you can Captain".
Tessa looked down, "I haven't been called Captain in 4 years," Wha..what do you want?"
He gave her a devious grin, "I'm here to make sure you keep your promise."

cleaned up DTS? Do you mean that handful of re-released episodes? If so, I think those are the same video, and only the better sound on em...
The audience applauded, even though it was not clear what Bush meant.

Great, so you need like a tone-perfect ear and a 5G home theater system
to hear the difference :-D

I agree with Reaper. I'd really like to see maybe a 13 episode OAV detailing the situation with Spike and Vicious in the syndicate, maybe in a John Woo A Better Tomorrow type thing. Not only would it be more Bebop action, it would give everything more depth without getting stale and being just stupid filler.

Of course, if the Bebop isn't in the show, I guess they can't call it Cowboy Bebop...
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish, and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and goodwill, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down on thee with great vengence and furious anger, those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers, and you will know my name is The Lord when I lay my vengence upon thee." - Jules, Pulp Fiction

Yeah they can, cause it probably would end with Jet and Spike meeting and going off into space on the bebop!!

Yes, maybe they could do a "what happened before" type of thing. :?

Well, I think that CN did a good job of convincing the gorup of making the continuation of Big O. I again must reserve opinion until 1) they do it and 2) I see it.

The Big O manga already existed- the animators weren't creating anything. The reason production stopped was that the anime was unpopular in Japan... nobody was asking the animators to 'make it up'.

If Bones wanted to do it, and they initiated the project, then I wouldn't mind at all. But this is the american company who only broadcasts it. They just want to be able to make some cool promo that says 'The All-New Cowboy Bebop episodes, Exclusively on Cartoon Network!!'

The creators already know that Bebop is a profit maker. If they were gonna do it just for money, they already would have made more. I'd be extremely disappointed if they caved into this sort of stupid pressure from a whiny network. Unplanned sequels, prequels, or whatever are always awful, because you just can't force art.

You put enough money out there, they will cave in.

Just remember, it took about ten years to get the third OVA series for Tenchi Muyo!. I suspect that they are already considering how to keep the artistic control of the series, while delivering the goods.

I agree with you partly, Jae, but I would like to see more of Bebop.

And Gunsmith Cats. :-D :perv:

Off topic a little, but I'd wish they redo some of the old anime shows.

I tried to watch Robotech(Macross), and was giving the feeling that so much could be done now. Especially after all the talk of Macross Zero.

CN offered to help fund a sequel but the animators wanted to do other things. That was the end of it. They didn't 'whine' or what have you.

This is an old rumor from one source. If it were really true, we would've heard about it on everything. Anime News Network, fan sites, everything. But we haven't. So unless some official statement turns up (which unlikely, since AX 2004 just ended), this is ten thousand percent rumor. You may now unbunch your panties.

man I'm tired of all this "while they were still alive... they did more stuff" crap... they could at least bring them back to life somehow, all he got was a scratch... and the movie wasn't too good either, knowing he's dead. I would really like to see him revived, but being dead, I don't care about his other escapades... the intensity is gone
