My huge bad. Kelek you've got excellent points. You are right, they really never 'wrap up' any scenes between the two. I wouldn't say ramble. You should try reading some of my other posts. Yes. Liking Kurz would make her a hypocrite in some respects, but as an officer, generally superior/inferior relationships are considered risky, that's only by some. Perhaps because of something in her past, she might not do something like that...I'm trying not to jump too far. I don't want abrupt characterization. Point taken they don't let it fall apart or improve it.
Interesting how Kaname is more of Western gal, than a Japanese one like Ren...At least she's not perfect, I mean think about it, she does slap sousuke more than he deserves and can be self centered and egotistical. But she's more humanlike than some of these perfect characters that permeate the genre.

We need more scenes like the one in Sicily where there's more interaction that shows more character. Or they should write more novels or make more anime and actually show characterization and development. There's no real concrete evidence for a romance between those two.

Wagh! How we can agree on MM/KW and Disagree on SS/KC! It's impossible! Tessa ain't a good match for sousuke anyway. I quote myself in a thread that was dead before I decided to post. Still is. That's why I prefer Sousuke and Kaname to Sousuke and Tessa.
Andrei Burnside wrote:Hmm...Seems real simple. I'll just say what other's have not.
The Haircut: Sousuke let down his guard around Kaname. He never does that. EVER. Yet he found himself falling asleep.
Fumoffu when Tessa came: Sousuke mainly viewed her as a burden. Sure he cared, but having to guard the both of them nearly killed him. (Hot Rice is dangerous on the face!).
He disobeyed orders from Kalinin. Huge. Utterly Huge, Insubordination from the Moody Military Maniac? That sure counts for something.
Sousuke's Covert Jealousy: He's got it bad folks. His reactions at the park, what he did to Mizuki's girlfriend.
Dialogue: He said Kaname was beautiful, and was clearly blown away by her in her mother's kimono. That works! FMPF. He was a blushing fool.
The whole homeland arc? She was waiting for him. C'mon. Classic reference. The soldier's girlfriend waits for him to come home. It makes sense.
I'm just saying, those Tessa fans can have her. Because she doesn't really love Sousuke. She's got more guts than Kaname in admitting "her" feelings. Why?
Whispered Resonance. They share part of themselves. Kaname was worried about Sousuke during the exchange between Tessa and Kaname. She cared about him deeply. This was shared with Tessa when they did the whole Resonance thing. So Tessa is actually feeling what Kaname feels about Sousuke (not as deep of course).
Did I mention that in some special [could be doujinshi but who knows?] Kurz flirts a lot with Kaname's friend with the brown braids and green ribbons [forgot her name--Tokiwa or something] but of course he's not serious and Melissa gets jealous and mad there too?

I found this in an older thread the other day.
It was a list of surprising facts from the FMP
novels. This part got me thinking:
The FMP novel starts a few days after the
first season ends. Kurz supposedly still
has a gf during this time. So why was he so
sincere with Melissa in Sicily?
It could have been just non-serious flirting like
how he acts with the high school girls, but I
highly doubt that. "Aim and shoot for your
heart" basically says it all for him, and it
seemed like that was what he was trying to do
that time.
In support of KW+MM , I'd say he really
was being sincere with her in Sicily. About his
talking about his girlfriend with Gwen...I'm not
sure one would do that in his situation. "C'mon,
join the evil side, Kurz!" "You're right, I could
move my gf to a better hospital--no thanks." I
think perhaps they had already split before this
occured and that Kurz was just saying that to
fool Gwen and to stall.
Another point is that Kurz wouldn't fool around
with other girls behind his gf's back, no matter
how far apart they were. He isn't that kind of
person. He could end up hurting both girls
(besides the fact that he wouldn't flirt that
seriously with Melissa if he didn't really like her
or if he had a gf waiting for him somewhere).
Just my conclusion of that confusing part from
an FMP novel.

(this is when gwen was tempting kurz to join him...)

Daanan...READ!
Nice opening opinion Daanan...but did you read the thread? I mean...You really can't be effective in your arguements if you don't read the thread. Iffnen you want ammo against KW+MM just look to Jae's or Taurec's posts. Then come back...but read the posts...please? It will make MUCH more sense as to why I suspect that pairing/ romantic chemistry.

RIM...dude.
*trips and falls*
If you support that relationship...try reading RIM by yours truly. The only fic out there to focus on MM + KW in a semi/completely serious relationship (or just amusing plot events)...unlike the morning after . Consider it effectively AU in relation to their pasts (alternate universe) because of the divulging of new info through the novels and my own error.
