*screams in frustration*
I know where that pose is from! I just can't place it! And it's DRIVING ME MAD!
And now I'm having trouble thinking of a caption 'cause Sousuke is so gorgeous that my brain has shut down. All I can think is that now I'm having flashbacks to that scene in Pirates of the Caribbean where Jack and Will are stealing the Dauntless and picturing Sousuke saying, "Son--I'm Sergeant Sousuke Sagara. Savvy?"
Okay, I'll be quiet now. *continues to drool fangirlishly over pic*

If no one's guessed by tomorrow I'll post a screencap of the scene. Pirates of the Caribbean... well, it sits close to Pirates on my DVD shelf, it's a little ahead in the alphabet.... (Your cap btw - funny mental image!!! )

/EDIT - Master and Commander is much closer, but still not it..... No soup for yu!!
YAAAY!!! TE you got it!! *passes TE some fresh chocolate chip brownies* That's it, but to get Sousuke's x-shaped scar the pose had to be flipped. I think his sword-holding hand needs some work still, so the sketch is likely to be tinkered with.

Well, it might seem more than a bit ironic to draw your drawing muse leaving you but hey.....
So, where's Jenn been anyway? Well, Jenn has two problems... the below drawing problem, and a looking-for-a-job problem. The drawing problem consists of just general drawing frustration at not being able to make some particular pose look decent or whatnot, and/or having trouble coming up with image layouts (like for illustrating particular scenes) Drawing frustration really isn't that big a deal though, and I think I can push (or maybe meander) my way through it well enough.
The big problem is the looking-for-a-job one, because I'm tired of not having a lot of money (any architects in the DC metroplex wanna hire me??) My hubby makes enough that I don't have to work, but it doesn't leave much in the way of savings or discretionary spending either, plus I'm just kinda tired of not working. I've been emailing and faxing architecture companies, and arranging and going to interviews. The biggest chunk of my time has been eaten up working on a porfolio piece using Autocad 2004 (digitally creating this building[old link removed] I designed in one of my studio classes) It's been over a year since I used Autocad to any extent, so doing this refreshes my memory on how the program works, plus I have practically none of my Autocad work from college. It's all been lost to time, computer reformats, and moves, so I have little to show prospective employers that I really can use Autocad.
So. More drawings will inevitably come, just... slower. dd, I'm afraid I probably won't get 8 drawings done before you move on to your next big story! (and the below drawing counts!)
So yeah.... just fyi in case anyone was curious. I haven't dropped off the map and I can't stop drawing, so don't give up hope for me yet!
Like my muse? She's a real bitch let me tell ya.... She brings inspiration when I don't have a pencil, when I do have a pencil she rails on me for drawing crappy sketches, and when I want her around she's off in Tahiti! I should beat her up until she cries.... But such is the way with all creative endeavors I suppose.... To paraphrase Richard Walter - "Drawing, like banging your head against the wall, feels teriffic mainly when you stop." (his original quote was for writing)

"Can I help you?, "you know this section is.." she broke off her sentence as the man walked towards her and nodded, "I think you can Captain".
Tessa looked down, "I haven't been called Captain in 4 years," Wha..what do you want?"
He gave her a devious grin, "I'm here to make sure you keep your promise."

Ahh, the evil muse bitch. I know her well and hate her accordingly. Mine just came back to me after six months of being fickle and taunting me. I can definitely commiserate. (I can't even imagine what my attempts to fic currently would be like...)
Sorry to hear about your job problems...but I like your building!
And I definitely like your little mini muse drawing. I wonder if there's some way to sedate these evil muses and keep them caged in the basement until we need them?
Come to think of it, there's probably a market for that.

Is there another definition I don't know about...? [/quote]Dictionary.com wrote:Muse:
1. To be absorbed in one's thoughts; engage in meditation.
2. To consider or say thoughtfully: mused that it might take longer to drive than walk.
3. One of the nine goddesses who presided over song and the different kinds of poetry, and also the arts and sciences;
4. A particular power and practice of poetry. --Shak.
5. A poet; a bard. [R.] --Milton.
