Time 17:05 hours sea of Japan Tuatha De Daanan

Tessa ran up to him and gave him a tight embrace.

“MOMO I missed you!”

“Yes I can tell. Heh heh ”

She was blushing. Sousuke had seen the captain like this only twice before when she showed up at the safe house and when he had helped her challenge sergeant major Mao. He felt a slight ting of envy but it passed quickly.
“At hem.”

Kalinin cleared his throat and Tessa released “Momo” with an embarrassed look on her face.

“Opp’s guess I go a little carried away by the reunion. Ah Mo… Excuses me Dr. Morris Livingstone please allow me to make the introductions this is lt. Com Andrei Kalinin. Staff sergeant Sousuke Sagara and Ms Kaname Chidori.”

He extended his hand and greeted each of them Kaname gave him a look over when her turn came.
“You’re a doctor but you cant be more than 22 and what’s with Momo?”

“Huh just like Tessa told me a straight shooter. For the record I am 20 years old but I hold PhD’s in physics and advanced robotics I work for Bunny Morauta the head of Mithril’s Arm Slave development division. I am like you and Tessa I was born a whispered. Female whispered account for 99% of the total number of Whispered so the chances of encountering a male whispered, like me are quite rare. As for the second part of your question I was a friend of Tessa’s brother. One day he introduced me to his cute and loveable baby sister…”
Tessa was turning bright red
“…She was only four or five at the time and she when she tried to say my name all that came out was “Momo”. Hmm I have a picture if you want to see it?”

Tessa punched him in the arm
“Momo!”

“ Owe. What did I do? Just for that.”

He dug in to his back pocket and pulled out his wallet he flipped it open and presented Kaname with a photograph.

“Oh how Cute!!”

Sousuke gave it a quick glance. In it were two boys each about ten years of age of European descent. One had black hair and brown eyes
The other ash blond with gray eyes in the center stood a very young girl with platinum blond locks huge gray eyes and a smile from ear to ear as Kaname had stated she was cute. Even Kalinin seemed to get a kick from it.
A voice came from the still waiting chopper

“If you don’t mind I think its time to get down to business.”

“Right sorry Dr. Donovan.”

Momo dropped his guitar and helped the chopper crew set up a wheel chair for an older man who was wearing casts on his legs.

“This is Dr. Donovan he was a research engineer at the us military’s highly classified Arm slave development project and he is the only survivor of the attack.”

As if she were physic the Daanan’s medical officer Dr Gold berry was at the wounded Donovan’s side.
“I ll be taking you to the medical word now.”

“What are you talking about woman I am fine.”

“I ll be the judge of that sir.”

“Look here woman I am fine so back off.”
He looked at Kalinin

“Hay captain why don’t you order her a way I don’t need her help.”

“I am not the captain of this ship she is.”
Kalinin indicated. Tessa and the Doctors jaw dropped.

“On second thought may be I do need to have an eye and hearing exam.”
Tessa suddenly seemed slightly annoyed.

“Why does every one say that? Look will all meet in the ready room at 20:00 hours for a briefing. Dismissed”
The group began to brake up.
Kalinin was the last to leave Sousuke and Kaname.

“Mr. Sagara you do not seem well please use the time before the briefing to get some rest. I have a feeling you will need it. ”

Kurtz and Mao joined Sousuke and Kaname.

“Hay kiddo you don’t look so hot for a second I thought that gold berry was going to drag you off too.”

“I haven’t been sleeping well.”

“Sousuke we were with you in Pakistan when you had to take the place of the body guard of that whack job warlord’s daughter you were up for a week straight, you were angry, moody and violent but never this bad.”

“This is different.”

“Then there was that time you were captured by that band of mercenaries in Columbia and they used you to test there products both during and after we rescued your butt. You were a wreck but never this bad.”

“I am well aware of that now if you do not mind I am on my way to my bunk.”

“Well he is in a sour mood.”

“I wonder what’s wrong with him?”

“Right now Sousuke is trying to deal with ghost of the past, and that is a trying time.”
They nodded in agreement


Time: 2000 hours
Sousuke had caught just under three hours of sack time. When he had woke up he found Kaname reading a book near by she said that she wanted to make sure I was on time for the briefing. The fact that she had been there was reassuring and Sousuke felt better because of it. They had made there way to the briefing room witch was surprisingly empty. Only Doctors Livingston, Donovan, Kurtz, Mao, captain Tesstarosa, commander Mardukas, and major Kalinin were present along with Kaname and himself. Apparently Mithril wanted Kaname’s involvement but they were not saying how or why. Dr Livingston took the podium.

“Ladies and genial men this briefing is classified to the highest classification there is normally the US government would be cleaning this up it’s self however right now they don’t have that luxury the project it seems was completely black and under the opuses of one of the hidden defense development offices, Totally rogue and completely idiotic. The development was done here in a bunker built under this mountain called freedom ridge it was seized via the us government first for a wildlife preserve later it was added to the “Area 51” research facility known through out the world for “little green men” and black air craft in truth only the later. Its reputation forced a change in businesses today it works mainly in space command and black technology R&D. the project was the development of an Arm slave that could transition into a full flight mode no need for disposable rocket boosters just take off at point a land at point b and or take off once more for point c. but in particular the unit that has caused this trouble is a very special one it has a Lambda driver. Dr. Donavan was sent here to give us the run down on this unit and how it was hijacked. Dr if you would be so kind.”

Donovan remained in his chair.

“Right the angel project was a joint project to build an arm slave that could be deployed at a moments notice any were in the world to date the angels brought us there they were subsonic but even at subsonic speeds they held the advantage over units like the M9 that had to be modified to enable flight. But the people in charge wanted more speed and ability so we realized that we could Advance to the next level if we introduced black technology. The unit in question was going to be called Michael after Archangel but then this man showed up.”

The photo of a man appeared about 21 years old. Sousuke was almost on his feet the man was familiar like some one he had met in a dream. He had hair and eyes of the same color as his own his nose was crooked his jaw as well. He wore a goatee and bore the look of some one seeking death.

“The name he used to enter the US was Steven Akari he came in on a flight from the Philippines. The real Steven Akari was picked up heavily drugged in a Pilipino Brothel during a Raid one hour ago. To gain entry to the security zone he and his two compatriots a pair of former intelligence agents turned mercenary named Johnson and Dylan use a modified dodge ram delivery van the van had been fitted with smugglers holes loaded with assault weapons, an electric motor and Electromagnetic camouflage systems.” A new photo appeared of the remains of a van that had obviously been mangled by an Arm Slave.

“Incase your wondering he did this not us. He then worked his way through the base on foot it seems that a virus was introduced in to the communications and security systems. He then managed to steal the Archangel unit. During the escape he engaged and destroyed a group of M6’s and M9’s he then engaged a flight of F/A 22’s it seems the Lambda driver enhanced its airborne maneuverability and speed he proved more then a match he downed two raptors and damaged two more. He then vanished.”

Kurtz chimed in.
“Sounds like you built your selves a real monster there buddy.”

Now Livingston took the podium again
“And that is where we come in Mithril as ordered it’s air craft carrier the
Lilia Litvyak and the new Daanan’s new sister sub the
Coeur De Lion to patrol for activity along the western American coast and the southern pacific well we will patrol the Asian sector if the Archangel is spotted the Tuatha De Daanan will be pushed to the front of the response in particular, Mr. Sagara and the Arx-7 Arbalest as only his unit is fitted with the type of equipment that could stand up to that monster. Mr. Sagara I was part of the team that built Arbalest and I have read the reports on your use of it I have full confidence in you however before you get your chance the Arbalest is going to be fitted with some special gear.”

Mao spoke up.
“You seem pretty confident about him striking here in the pacific and soon why is that?”

Kalinin stood and took the front of the podium.
One hour after the unit vanished. An operative of ours was contacted by an anonymous party the massage was a prerecorded video disk.”
He hit a control and the display changed once more to that of the supposed Steven Akari.
“The only thing that can cleanse away blood is blood Kashim You Robbed me of my revenge the blood on your hands belonged on mine now I must now take your blood I will be waiting for you in the fields of hell.”
Sousuke was on his feet the message was for him

“Captain I think I know a good place to start the search for this man.”
