FMP: A Dancing Very Merry Christmas Discussion *Spoilers*

Post by Circle »

Well, even though there are already 2 threads sorta about this, I'm gonna start a new one to follow the released translations done by Boku-tachi. Spoiler warning already on the thread title so don't feel restricted, everyone. ^_^

I've just finished reading Ch01a. The cruise for Christmas eve is setup but before the day comes, Sousuke had another mission to do. So Mirthil sends Sousuke and friends to take out a pirates' hiding place and capture their leader so they can interograte him to see if he's connected with Amalgam (Mithril's enemy). But the leader fires an anti-tank missle at Sousuke, Sousuke uses the Lambda Driver successfully to block the missle, :kurtz: Kurz blows the pirate leader up, :melissa: Mao gets pissed.

The argument between Mao and Kurz is pretty funny but the best part is when Sousuke tried to stop them and they call him a "part-timer" and tell him to shutup :-D

I did dislike that part, seeing as Sousuke did the most work and is deemed "most vital" to extreme missions due to the fact that he and only he can pilot the ARX.

Let's see how Mao and Kurz would do against Lambda Driver Arm Slaves with out Sousuke.

I have to say, I'm really enjoying how Sousuke's more...human, should I say? He doesn't seem to be as all-business as he used to be, and that's a nice change of pace. I quite enjoyed his bantering with the Arbalest as well. :)

The only problem I'm going to have is waiting for the subsequent translations, because I was STUPID enough to have sought out spoilers for the ending. So now I know how it ends but have absolutely no details whatsoever, and I'm impatient to boot.

I guess I'll just have to wait...

Hiya - new to the board but an old fan of FMP ( two months now!). I can't get to the English translation of the novels on this stupid computer. Someone please tell me Kaname and Souske end up together!

Welcome to the forums! Don't mind the insanity--it's all just part of the game. :)

You can find the first novel, The End of Day by Day, here, and the next file is up on their IRC channel. Our own LS1 had the file up for a little while, and I think we all picked it up then, but I'd be more than happy to e-mail it to you.

As for your last question... *SPOILER*

Yes, Kaname and Sousuke do in fact end up together. I haven't found any details at all regarding the specifics, which is frustrating as all hell, but at least I know the end result!

Domo arigato, and please do email me the file. I can't wait to get my paws on it. My five year old shares my anime madness, and we are slowly converting my husband and the new baby. The little guy's fist words will probably be "Gundam Fight! Ready!Go!"

:-D

It's nice when the anime obsession is shared with the whole family. :D

And I can't seem to find your e-mail address...care to PM me? Or you can always just drop me a line at Bri-chan@comcast.net

Well, we don't know really if they end up together (if you mean for good) since the series hasn't ended yet...

I also heard that the next long story novel after Dancing Very Merry Christmas comes out next month in Japan, called "Tsuzuku On My Own" (continuing on my own), and it looks to be a two volume novel like end of day by day.

But I very much want to see Sousuke and Kaname together in the end ^^

Thanks for clearing that up. :) I was just so thrilled at the tiniest shred of any relationship-related confirmation that I just jumped on it. S/K makes me go much too fangirlish.

But yes, from what I've heard, at the end of Odoru VMC, the statement stands for the time being. Of course, being completely illiterate in kanji, I can't confirm that myself... :?

This has been running each month in Dragon Magazine and I think what I had read is that next month is the last chapter in this arc. (October, meaning its probably on newsstands in Japan already)

So the novel for these probably will be out, too.

1 word:
Leonard!
If the next main arc is a 2-parter then next month must not be the last.... But I'll be frequently stopping by the local bookstore waiting for the Oct issue to show up :)

Ahem. My brother in law, who has Kurtz Weber's lecherous streak, wants to know if "Sagara finally gets laid". Can anyone answer this for him?

Common name, uncommon spelling ;)

Mine's from my name, but not only my first- I have the common name+common spelling+common horrid nickname problem :)

I also wanted to go back to the S+K issue- I think there are two seperate issues at hand- 'who would he pick if he had to pick a love' and 'will the ending be one which allows him to be with her?'

The first seems to be fairly well decided. The other.. well, I wonder how long he plans on keeping the story going
Not that I want a final end, of course...

I think that if S+K don't end up together, a herd of raging otaku will assasinate him.

My son thinks Mao is hot. She's his favorite. He could care less abour the other characters. He just wants to build mecha when he grows up.
