Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha

Post by HELLFIRE »

What can I say... more (relatively) kiddy-friendly magical-girl anime for all! :-D
AnimeNfo wrote:* Show is a spinoff of Triangle Hearts

Takamachi Nanoha is a 3rd grader elementary school girl. She lives with her parents who run a coffee shop, and her older sister and brother who are students. She was a normal girl until she met a boy that came from another world. She happens to obtain a magical power from him. After their encounter, Nanoha has to recollect “Jewel Seeds”. They are from the other world, and are scattered around Earth.

The boy from the other world can turn into a small animal, and she has a magical wand that is materialized by Nanoha’s will. With these two, she has to recollect Jewel Seed. It will grant one’s dream, but it also causes various accidents as well.

She begins to have a friendship with the boy from the other world. She spends her secret life as a magical girl late at night, early in the morning, after school, and on vaction. She is a normal girl when she is with her friends and family.

During her adventures, there appears magical girls that has the same power of Nanoha, because of this, her peaceful life is almost destroyed.

“I do my best…so that I won’t regret”

Takamachi Nanoha, a third grader, though she isn’t good at sports, but she does her best with courage, magic, and her will, that she won’t lose.
I'm going to have to do some more background digging, 'cuz the costume
design looks like a cross between Card Captor Sakura & Angelic Layer

Previous ~DC~ viewers may want to avoid as Sakura's seiyuu
got the role of the lead... least she doesn't sound like a TOTAL brat this
time...

...only 13 eps too... assuming I don't die of tooth decay first

#2 Ohkay... tweak there, rearrange there and I'd SWEAR you got CCS
with this! About the only differnce is you don't have to learn spells and
commands... it's all computerized!

Ahh, it's cute, it's doesn't stretch the brain much, it's entertaining...

...I DO have to find SOMETHING to do about excessive tooth decay tho.

This series is semi-dropped on my list. I watched the RAW, looked interesting, downloaded the first two episodes.... and they just sat there...

Maybe I'll start watching it, but this series along with Rozen Maiden are kind of in limbo.

#4 d**n, no teachers in sight to stop this kiddy playground battle
Never mind Nanoha's opponent happens to be that much more advanced
in magical ability. Well, Nanoha gave just about as good as she got... kinda.
Oh, plenty of maids to satisfy the BOP boys :perv:

Next... hotsprings in a magical girl series?! Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!!

...and I don't mind admitting the OPED's growing on me :-D

They watch shounen and shoujo?

Shows with girls in them will always attract males, no matter what the genre, the trick is drawing them qute enough. But that's not why I'm watching Lyrical Nanoha. I've always been a fan of Mahou Shoujo right from Sailor Moon.

Get me to the dentist on time!!!...

alittle 'how we got together' mixed with ANOTHER major schoolyard fight
over turf. Fate (the girl in black) huh.... wonder what her mother has to
say about her own (underage) flesh and blood prancing around in clothing
like THAT!!

... to say nothing about how much collateral damage THIS little fracas
caused in downtown tokyo

#7 well, looks like Tokyo got spared from the splash damage of Fate & Nanohas's
fight... how much would it take to fix it given Nanoha's... meager allowance :-D
Tho not everyone walked away intact.. Fate & Nanoha's wands are damaged...
and Fate has a less than warm welcome home from her mother

...so what's with the Time-Space Admin Officials then? Can't we stick to
just our two main chars here?

8 and 9 out in the last week... yeah, NOW we try and come up with a deeper
story. GAWD! Ya gotta love when they pull that  Seems the Jewel
Seeds have some connection with interdimensional timespace and they're
a MAJOR threat to ALL dimensions -- aren't they always -- if they fall into
the wrong hands. I think Nanoha had THAT figured out by ep 1....
