I was scrolling thru the TV in the 1000 and up. Then I saw anime network. I i clicked around and Saw YUA. I was like yeah. Then I saw Full Metal Panic. I saw the 3rd epsd. I thought it was stupid when i saw it quarter way and turned it off. Then one night i was bored. so I tried watching the whole thing. Then that night they just placed epsd 4 i was curious and watched it. I was hooked.
Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Divine Power of God -
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.

Yep!
a little off topic
The "Where is Everybody" Thread is fun post there too
Btw, I watched FMP! for the first time on TV, but I couldn't wait for the 2nd episode to air (they aired weekly) so I managed to get it elsewhere
The dubbing wasn't bad (Sousuke was actually very good, Tessa was so-so ) but the original voices are -as always- a lot better

This is an interesting one... I was borrowing some anime from a friend, he was burning a lot of downloads that time. And among Lain and Bebop, there was a stack of FMP cd's. So I asked him what that was all about, but he wasn't very forthcoming, b/c he thought it was shit and not worth wasting time on. Knowing that he was generally overly critical, I persuaded him to let me take those cd's anyway... and I've never regretted that decision.

Well, I was borrowing some old fansubs from a friend, and he had Fumoffu! in his collection. So I purchased FMP, having heard some reasonably good reports about it, and started watching.
Then I realised it wasn't parent-safe (stricter regulation than kiddy-safe, depending on your parents). Not that it mattered.

I saw the first couple of episodes at my local anime/manga club. I'd asked
the guy that supplied the fansubs if there was action further along in the story
(I would have thought it a shame if it had been only a school slapstick comedy), so I was pretty interested. At some point a video rental place in Berlin (that specialises in original releases, as opposed to only german licensed releases) had a Hong Kong video release that contained up to part 7.
So then I found out that ADV was releasing it, and I bought it with joy. ^_^
I stumbled across this forum (and the Boku Tachi translations) when I was trying to find out more about FMP: The Second Raid, which I had espied notice of in a Japanese issue of New Type, without being able to read any of the article.

I first heard about it in a fic on fanfiction.net, which was a Tessa/Sousuke lemon, written by this guy I know (well, not IRL). So, after that, I did some websearches on FMP, and then sat back and waited for VCD box sets to show up.
This was in mid-2003.
In November 2004, I found a box set of FMP and Fumoffu, bought it immediately, and I've never regretted it since. ^_^ Damn good stuff, this is.
