So then the question is: where is Kaname? Has Leonard already snatched her? And if I interpret the Dragon mag scans from 2004 correctly, it looks like BehemothII will be stomping through Tokyo...

At the time Kyouko is hurt, Kaname is in hiding. And Behemoth does make another appearance. Although I don't want to give too much away because it won't be too long before the translations are out.

Another Behemoth is stomping around? Operated by Analgram?

Well, it makes sense. A21 having their Behemoth bothered me - I was always wondering where the could find the cah to build it....

*wonders if Sousuke will destroy it with a d**kshot*

I know you really hate them, Goose, but it's "Amalgam" as in "mercury-based alloy". Not "Analgram" as in "online humour site". :-P

Aaaanyway... "good things come to he who waits". *waits for future releases*

Actually, I'm wondering where Kalinin is right now, during the current DVMC chapters. I guess he might be on Merida Island? Or maybe he's liasing with the Japanese Coast Guard/Maritime security/SDF organisations in case something goes badly wrong. After all, they knew they were going after something of Amalgam's stored in the ship's vault, and also knew that Kaname was in fact the main target (again) of Amalgams' operation involving the cruise ship. Of course, unless the Sharks are dealt with, any marine support would probably be sunk, just to increase the carnage.

Hmm, now that I think about it, the Sharks are bound to be short ranged craft. Where did they come from? The Pacific Christmas is cruising off the coast of Japan, so they could be land based, or have been deployed from some sort of mother ship disguised as a freighter or tanker...

You know what bothered me about the Behemoth? In ODbD they made a point that it would probably be impossible to maintain the Lambda Driver's functions indefinitely because it draws on the operator's energies or something like that.

Then they go and say "Except for Behemoth". And the people talking about it were perfectly OK with that explanation. But... why not Behemoth? They're basically saying that the fundamental principles of the science that the story had set up were true for all but this one exception. But there's no real reason for that exception. Sounds to me like a plot contrivance.

I mean, I can run with it, but it did stand out to me that none of the other characters bothered to question this loophole so the author was probably dancing around the point.

Interesting. But look at the original Behemoth: Takuya was pretty wasted for most of the time he was running it: remember all the sweat running down his face?

But granted, Arbalest against another Behemoth.... that's worse than Gundam Mk.II vs Psycho Gundam. Arbalest has no fancy beam sabres...

Wait. Sousuke and Al. Put them together, and there's great scope for mayhem and destruction. ^_^

Ditto - K

I don't know. They said it couldn't be run prolonged. Not that the user would get a good work out.

Besides, I think there were other factors causing him to be worn out. Not the least of which was, you know... BEING SHOT! :-P

From what I remember, it was a stray bullet (meant for Kalinin - more proof that that old guy can't be killed :-P ). It grazed Takuya, but the pain and blood loss musta really gotten to him.

Actually, I think that the Behemoth would have eventually died down - but Sousuke precipitated it's demise with that d***shot.

I see that some people mention that the animesuki forum has major plot spoilers for Continuing On My Own. Can someone put a link up to the exact page? [ecs]I'd like to learn more about Leonard fighting Sousuke, Kyouko with a bomb, and TDD-1 and the base at Merida Island.[/ecs].
