Initial D *Live Action* .... and such

Waiting to find out. I'm HOPING I can get my hands on the movie when
it comes out. It'll be interesting to see how much of the story & characterization
they can fit into a 2hour runtime. Meantime, 4th looks like it's going to
stretch to 16!!!! episodes?!?!?!??!

...looks like I can't burn this off anytime soon

looks like they are going to 20 ish. That's what i am guessing

I just watched the live action movie (raw, Mandarin). The races are cool. The acting's ok. My only complaints are that some characters were left out/changed a bit and the storyline's condensed/changed a bit from the manga storyline. But changes like that is expected. Like a lot of Mandarin TV shows/movies, some of the dialogue is re-dubbed, that's a small peeve of mine.

I've only read the manga up to vol 17, haven't seen any of the anime.

Must find more of the manga.

Ah Initial D. Love this series. One of these days I'll buy the manga as well.

dood I recently saw it. acting of his dad was top notch! girl ugly though. I don't remember his friend getting a girl hotter than takumi himself? anyway, skyline dood was not supposed to drive that

They turned his dad into a mean drunk.

But ya, I thought so too about his friend getting a hotter girl than Takumi's, but I don't think they're in that kind of relationship yet, but she's hot. It's best not to compare 2-hour movies with their much longer sources of inspiration (so many characters are missing). So I just watched as it is. The ending is totally left open for a sequal so it's got another chance. =)

Okay I watched the Korean version with the spanish subs ... and I hated it .. and the things I could understand was the *cries* rap *cries* .. and I hate rap ...

except for 'Initial D has no rap music in it'

I think I'll buy the HK DVD when it comes out... just to amuse myself
