Ladies and Gents I have seen FUmmufo and it is good. The dubbing is a little bit "Iffy" but still great. The president guy is hillarious in the second epsd. Oh yeah alomost forgot they will show the cut episodes. Its great Ladies and gents.

I agree with your sentiments on that quote. Ah well, I'm still hanging on to my fansubs (since they'll probably never get around to releasing it where I live).

It would be cool to be able to hear a few samples of the english voices, though...
Ripping samples for non-profit purposes is legal in this country, but I don't know about the US etc. - if something like that is frowned upon, please disregard the above comment.

I went to an anime convention a month or so ago, and the ADV panel mentioned how difficult it was to cast for Kaname. They cast her last, I believe, not too long before the deadline.

I've seen the ADV Fumofuu episode where the girl writes Sousuke a love letter (ADV premiered it at the above forementioned con I attended) and it was actually really good. ADV did an excellent job, though the 'biotch' part elicted a collective groan from my section. The rest of the dub was very close to the fansubs I have, but ADV made the 'Sousuke deciphering the letter part' even better by super-imposing over the kanji what Sousuke was saying over the letter itself.

Sousuke's VA did a great job with his interpretation of the role (making Sousuke sound more like the teen he is) and Kaname's tried very hard to sound as much like the Japanese VA as possible. Yes, even down to the grunts and growls as she yells at Sousuke.

I'm really looking forward to the ADV release, though I'll probably wait until they come out with their slimcase boxset deal down the road.

Ooh, thanks a bunch.

It must be really tough to be Kanames VA, what with all them grunts. I've done some voiceacting on a mod, and while the dialogue was fairly easy to get right (4 minutes of voiceacting recorded in less than 40 minutes), I had major trouble doing just one scream - it came out suprisingly and unintendedly funny, but luckily fit the setting.

Anyhow, Sousuke sounds ok this time around, and hopefully both K&S won't be sounding nearly as strained as they did in season 1...

She's been referred to as bipolar and the ypical anime angry girl... but comparing her to Akane and Naru, I have to say that Kaname's harisen hitting is mostly justified.

You'll note I said mostly... anyways, Sousuke has a better chance of surviving her than, say, Akane. (He'll just invoke a pissed-off Akane when he throws them falshbangs).;

Well, I'm not just talking about anger and violence. That's easy. Just find an actress who can voice anger. But they also needed her to be giddy, serious, depressed, good-humored, bad-tempered, bashful, confrontational, needy, independant, happy, sad, scared, brave loving, hating, and about a million other emotions. And they're rarely ever subtle since they often come out as explosive. Any actress who plays her needs to be very versatile.
