nr 2 makes it look more techy and shows you did a little more then just taking a image and slap it on the background.

So I would go for option 2

"Can I help you?, "you know this section is.." she broke off her sentence as the man walked towards her and nodded, "I think you can Captain".
Tessa looked down, "I haven't been called Captain in 4 years," Wha..what do you want?"
He gave her a devious grin, "I'm here to make sure you keep your promise."

Number 2, I agree...make the playlist editor and I would even use it :D (and I'm VERY picky about my winamp skins...yours looks really good).

At first the two looks extactly the same to me. But then I looked closer for the "hokey line action" and I see the slight difference. But #1 has lines in it too and the hokey line action is very light so the two are still pretty much to same to me. So... my opinion, they are both just as good. Haha, sorry I'm not very helpful. ;)

But the picture you selected is nice.

To repeat someone else (Circle?), I can't tell the difference between #1 and #2, so either works. I also like the image you picked. That's one of my favorite scenes from the first series. What did you use as a source for it? A screencap from the anime? It doesn't look quite like either Shikidouji's or Retsu Tateo's artwork. Did you do some image processing on it, by chance? It looks "softer" than Gonzo's animation.

But yes, I like it a lot. *grumbles* Will I end up with /three/ music players on my compy?

I think it was a promo piece featured in Newtype magazine, published back when the end was aired.

They both look nice :)

I would like it even more if there's also a version without the EQ controls. It hides a lot of Kaname's pretty blue dress. :-D

hmmhmhm... anyway, i have decided to use the lines but I redid them. So it won't be too busy and retweaked plenty of things. \0/

thank you for the comments^^

the original pic came from jae's gallery.... art is by Shikidouji but finished by another artist. (SD did the lineart, someone else did everything else.)

and.. blur + overlay is your good PS friend. it gives a more 'softer and bathed in the sunset's glow' kinda look when compared with the original.

and on the subject of non-working eqs.... I really hate making them. Because they're too easy to make. You know how hard it is to make a workable eq bars and effects? It's a challenge, RWAR. (And I damned like the eq bars I made for this too....)

and now.. to work.
And the pretty blue dress hides a lot of...

Thank You! I always hate when people just slap a picture on a winamp just b/c it looks nice without putting any work into it to make it functional, too. I actually use on the controls on mine, so if something doesn't have usable controls, I don't even bother with getting it. The whole point is to try to make a skin that is functional while looking nice, imo.

Good job, anyway ^^

Isn't that from the Party Episode? I think that was the dress she was wearing, when she did that karaoke duet with Tessa (and Mao playing the keyboard).

Jae said it was from a promo, so it might not be the same as the anime.
