I am bewildered by the female bluno. what's next? a female Gauron? I hope they keep the book descriptions for the anime.
also, a question of sorts:

in the last translation, the captian mentions Gauron died of cancer, and that some other dood was killed by Sousuke. so who did Sousuke kill? the one he has been fighting with in the anime is really not the real Gauron.

He was talking about the guy who was leading the elimination squad at the end of ODBD with the five Venoms.

Gauron had cancer. We don't know when he learned that or what type, but it was probably terminal. It may have effected a lot of the things he did. Like how he didn't care about dying on the Danaan with everyone else.

That's a good explanation then. He never did really cared about his life though, he only worried about how to take them.
Edit: Also forget that he was kind of unstable mentally, in my view.

Gauron didn't die of cancer...they use "cancer" to mean that he let his feelings for Sousuke get the better of him and overtake him, like a cancer.

He dies of the round of bullets that Sousuke pumps into his chest.

WAIT! Wait, wait, wait, wait. I didn't say he died of cancer. I said he HAD cancer. Are you absolutely certain he didn't have cancer? The way I read the translation, being "taken over by a cancer" seems pretty open-ended. And it seems that Sousuke was pretty shocked by this information. Now if it was only a metaphor, wouldn't he have been confused or something since he wouldn't have known what was being refered to?

If anyone knows for sure, I guess it'd be you, but it sounds really odd in that context.

Didn't Sousuke wonder when Gauron could have gotten cancer? Or it might just be my imagination.

I'm sure. In the novel, the word for cancer, "gan", is written in katakana, which is kind of emphasizing it in a way that says he's using a metaphor to describe Sousuke. Guess that didn't come through in the translation very well.

I guess there's no real way it could have, except maybe quotations. And even then deciding exactly what it was refering to would probably have been debatable.

Though, putting it in that context, it's interesting that Gauron refered to Kaname as Sousuke's tumor, and now Sousuke is Gauron's cancer. Not sure if that's supposed to mean anything though.

Well...

Does anyone recognize that M9 from the newest installment of SIGMA? It's a black M9... Looks oddly familiar...

Well, THAT one is Clouzot's, I'm sure. It was the same scene as in the novel.
