Alrighty, I will now being this week's Full-Metal-Panic-is-great discussion!

I won't say much yet cuz without the subs I may have misunderstood some parts.

Kaname looks cute even in her PJs. =)
Looks like Mithril (Tessa) officially discloses the existance of the lambda driver to the rest of the SRTs, a Q&A briefing session.
Sousuke up to his usual schoolyard antics. As he hunts for a voyeur.
OMG! The twins! Breasts! W00t, fanservice up a notch.
The blonde bad guy is pretty psycho. Dunno his name...
Amalgam and the Balic gov have a disagreement about the weapons... fighting breaks out, bloody level upped a notch too. The twins don't pilot a dual-seater AS.
Leonard now has a voice to match.
Looks like the person Kaname spotted spying on her that morning on her apt isn't the student but someone else (Wraith perhaps).

That new bad guy cracked me up, when he started to sing ... ave maria..
Kaname looked energetic (while kicking sousukes face in the ground)
Damn those twins know how to play catch, great reflexes...

The bad news is, i'm afraid I saw a nipple making me fear the ADV nanny censor squad.

I must say that blonde haired guy is weird, kinda deranged actually. Also I dont remember anyone like that from the novel, is this a new guy or is he from the book and I just can't remember.

Considering a lot of people were crying out for spoilers last time, I'll try writing up a recap of the ep, let me know if you'll want one like this again next week...I'm trying my best not to reveal any more of the humour than necessary...

Without further ado, be spoiled:

[ecs]The beginning is - well - Kaname in her bed. Is it me or is this scene recurring a lot? - anyway, this new crew decided they'd rather do Kaname in her jammies firstly stretching and moaning, then tipping out of bed, then crawling along the floor for a good while, giving everybody about 5 seconds to check out her blue-white jammie-striped butt - that is, they chose this rather than have a weird mumbling-song-thing and some bridges which Gonzo's crew picked. I'm rooting for this way of doing it.

At the end of that scene, Kaname crawls to her window, and even though the sun is already high in the sky, she's blinded by blinking from the opposing rooftop; welcome mr. Wraith, better late than never.

It then jumps to the briefing room aboard the TDD1 - here, tessa is briefing key members of the staff on the Lambda driver, Sousukes importance, and she also talks some about the Arbalast.
After that's overwith, she's handed something she was apparently expecting to be handed, by kalinin, probably a report from Sousuke - as far as I can figure, she's then sitting there, probably imagining what it's like to be Kaname, and blushing quite a bit - I don't understand that much, but I'm confident that this will amuse the tessa fans quite a bit. Lot's of inner monologue, which is an important thing to note; Inner monologue has been one means of communicating things that's hardly never been used in FMP, and with the story that is to come, I'm sure you all can appreciate the significance of getting, on a rough estimate, 30 seconds of Tessas thoughts. Overall, these scenes take as long as maybe 5-6 minutes, so lots of Tessas new voice.

As Tessa is thinking of Kaname, we jump to see her and Kyoko at school. Suddenly, Kyoko's cell phone sets out - and the speakers begin sending out a weird noise. Of course, Sousuke is to blame, but you'll see that for yourself. After Kaname deals with it, we zoom to a chat between Sousuke and Megane-kun(what's-his-name-AS-fan), who's apparently been surfing some *ahem* shady websites, and wants to show them to Sousuke, holding out his laptop - Sousuke is surprised at first, but he really opens his eyes as we see pictures of Kaname. They're innocent enough though. Hillarity ensues. sidenote: Sometimes the anime proportions shine through - this is one of those times. As a final bit, we see Wraith overwatching them from the neighbooring building.

Zoom to a pair of naked Assasin sisters. And when I say naked, I mean it - there's a very eerie and quite erotic feel to this scene, and the male audience's views are bound to be captured by butts&breasts - this would usually be called 17+ content, I believe, since there are nipples. By the end, they recieve a call.

I don't know what this means for the parential guidence, exactly - as far as I'm aware, the maturity rating in Anime can be changed back and forth down to the very episode - personally, I'm hoping they turn it down a couple of notches again. I mean, I don't mind nipples exactly, but I mind it if they introduce this kind of fanservice into the more serious scenes with Kaname and the gown later on.

Zoom to school. Sousukes tense, trying to find out who's taking the pictures - Kaname doesn't know about it yet, so she slaps him whenever he's knocking anybody over and frisking them. Hillarity. Wraith is shown once more, ever watchful.

...A theory has just come to mind: it's possible that Tessa briefed the SRT&others about the lambda driver in order for the viewers to be made aware of Sousukes status as extra valuable (in fact, I'm betting that's the case) - therefore, wriath has been introduced, and he will soon take over watching over Kaname. That would mean Wraith hasn't been watching over Kaname all of this time, from the animes point of view - overall, this arc makes more sense as a result of it.

Zoom to Gates, new villain. Gates is voiced by an excellent Japanese voiceactor - the voiceactor who does Jiraiya in Naruto - and he adds a sense of pervertion to Gates that noone could foresee. Gates is in a chopper, having a conversation with a soldier, looking over the battlefield of last episode.

Zoom to K&S' teacher, in PE clothes...they're in PE clothes too...Japanese PE clothes is a mix of cool and hot...

Megane-kun begins to fill Chidori in on the website pictures thing.

Zoom to Gates, he's at a stadion, with 5 helpers, one of them is one of the assasin sisters. The evil military mofo from last ep is also there, across from gates, with his corps of riflemen and an AS behind him, and his hand held up. There are two helicopters there, so apparently Gates was in some kind of negotiations with the guy before it turned sour.
But Gates simply shoots him before he can drop his hands. Combat madness insues. It's very crisp, lots of blood. Gates is mad. The Assasin chick is very scary. A venom AS decloacks and engages too.

Zoom to Kaname - she's been told about the pictures. Sousuke shows, however, that he's discovered how to track the guy who's taking them.
He says who it is, whereupon he blasts through a wall and holds his gun to some nerds forehead - there's a minor clipping error, and it happens fairly fast - ...it's weird, but cool. The nerd gets to run away as Kaname comes in and begins arguing.

Zoom to gates, still mad. Fights over. Much death, but he's still got his 5 helpers - untill he kills one of them, because he speaks without permission. The Venom opens, and the other Assasin steps out.
The first assasin also speaks without permission.

Zoom to S&K - the nerd is cornered, and threatens to upload a picture of Kaname where she's...well, attending to her bodily needs...,If you're thinking something perverted now, no, that's not it...
Sousuke beats him, but not without blowing up a lot of stuff.

Zoom to gates. As far as I can see, he's teaching the girl who spoke something about keeping her mouth shot by poking his gun around her teeth, beating her lips with the mussle so she bleeds and dragging it along her teeth - but as she keeps her teeth firmly closed together, she gets to live.

Telephonecall between an assasin and Leonard. He's being voiced by the guy who does Kabuto in Naruto, as far as I can hear, and Leonards voice is done slightly differently, giving it a more mature feel - so I'm not entirely positive it's him. That's also a very good voiceactor.

Zoom to S&K and the nerd and the sunset - they've been staying where they cornered him for some time. Sousuke is keeping his face down in the tiles on the ground. As he's playing with his knife, finally deciding to do something Kaname thinks is too much, she kicks him in the face- as she's crouching beside Sousuke, this is not only quite a feat, it also shows the upped fanservice since the angle of the perspective means some lines have been added to Kaname's PE pants to make sure we all understand she's a girl. I suppose it's better than the misplaced panty shots of the first season, though, as it's only on for a quarter of a sec and it's not something you'd normally see. Anyway, as a result of the kick, the nerd is allowed to run off.

Zoom to Wraith - it's obvious he's got a manly figure on this one. I believe he won't be non-gender in the anime now. Zoom to Gates who get's the final word.[/ecs]

Wow. Excellent entertainment - remember how the framerate in the last ep. was fairly low apart from a few select sequences?, that's changed. Now, there are far more of those excellent high framerate sequences. Thumbs up on almost all points - that is, the fan service has me worried, but I can only presume that if you understand what they're all saying, it'll be more ok - atleast it only pops out in relaxed situations.

I thought the zapping between the combat and the highschool scenes were...well, I got a bad taste in my mouth. It was an attempt of combining the relaxed fumoffu atmosphere with the serious season one atmosphere - this episode certainly didn't convince me that those two can be combined just like that. It wasn't that bad at all (and maybe I'm just being conservative about this, who knows?), and the subtitles will probably make it better for me...

If the rest of the episodes go like this, this season is one I'll be watching countless times.

I think the conversation between the assasins and Leonard is quite interesting I'm looking forward to understanding it.

watching these ep the baddies to me are Leonard, Assasin twins(their teacher is most probably gaul??) and that lousy singer bastard...

but i kinda like the assasin twins though... they are hot

anyway before the anime starts it is put as R-15(which means restricted 15 in japanese censoreship) R-15 means there is blood gore and contains nudity....(elfren lied and FMP TSR fall here) MA-18 means that there is extreme blood gore and/or porno....(hentai and other perverted stuff fall here) just for your infos

I love the villains who just kill for the sake of killing. Although I never want him to shake what his mama gave him again.

And yeah, we're back to the FMP of old, with many musical numbers being pulled from the original soundtrack itself.

Also, classic Venom, yall.

Based on the preview of the 3rd episode, I think Tessa's gonna have her little talk with Sousuke from ODBD. Here's hoping...

I will say that this was probably the most disturbing episode of fmp I've ever seen...not to say that it wasn't good, but still...heads exploding and naked chicks. Oh well, means that at least they aren't afraid to get bloody in this, which is nice to know ^^ It would suck greatly if they toned down the story. If anything, they've pumped it up a few notches.

I was glad that we finally get to see (who I assume to be) Wraith.
And they replace one crazy bastard villian with another. Guess they feel that since we won't get to see much of Gauron, that another person must take his place. Leonard's too smooth and doesn't show up early enough in the original storyline.

And the whole picture thief thing was pretty funny, although a little weird when shown against all of the death...surreal, I guess is the better word for it.

Okay, there's my two sense.

WOW! what an episode, i loved the twins and man the fanservice just got more detailed than the 1st and 2nd season if u know what i mean anyways i loved the scenes with souske and kaname and it looks like tessa finally tells ppl about the lambda driver. lol that blonde guy who is half bald was hilarious, i though he was gonna go mad from the way he shot the first person but ...HE STARTED SINGING!! LOL!!!

It's pretty weird to see nudity in FMP and some parts were rather cruel, the episode was somehow interesting and partly amusing, though.
Gates, I rellay don't like him. He's disgusting and vulgar.

And Sousuke... that little hentai-san wanted to check out the girls' toilet for Kaname's safety and why was he lying on the table in the girls locker room?

I think he was checking for bugging devices (hidden camera). Probably waiting for his equipment to pinpoint where the transmission signal is coming from... the smoke detector(?).
