Gundam Seed Destiny

Man episode 42 rocks. Strike Freedom totally kicks ass, Destiney would have been toast if Kira wanted to kill him. Don't want to spoil it, but I still like the first series better. All and all one of the most action packed episodes still can't they kill off Shin already. Or at least make him lose once and for all and put him in his place that he sucks and everyone hates him. All he does is yell and scream and whine. I hate him more than Flay. This one rips off too much stuff from the original gundam series like how the DOM's finally appear and use the jet stream attack. Man guess the writters get paid to sit on their ass and find it easier to reuse old ideas then think up new ones. Least Justice appears.

Next episode Freedom and Justice, take on Destiney and Legend.

I just thought it was awesome that Hilda Hakken (the DOM Pilot leader with the eyepatch) was voiced by Michiko Neya, aka. Melissa Mao.

Also wish Asuran would choose to pilot his mobile suits at the ~beginning~ of episodes rather than at the end (every freaking time!). Oh well.

Indeed I must agree...
Flay was a pain in the ass but it was within a tolerant level
shinn surpassed it a long time ago.. its like he's aiming to become the most hated anime character in anime history (if he already isn't it)...
shinn has become so corrupted that all he wants is to kill everything that is bothering him...

Anyways I must say I liked this episode.. I got to see Kira pulling some nice moves again (some were from season1 like appearing out of the sky and saving someone close to him when theyr in a pinch and that jumping in between gundams and slicing them to pieces)

I have a feeling the next episode is on our side
I doubt Kira will get hurt again anytime soon
plus now he has Athrun with him like the old times

Unfortunately, Shinji Ikari (of Neon Genesis Evangelion infamy) currently holds that title. Shinn is definately runner-up tho.

Shinn is no match for Shinji on the pathetic scale. You have to hate the cliffhangers.

yeah 42 is a good episode. aa and minerva finally battle. i wonder if neo/mwu really regained his memory or just subconciously uses his pet phrases. shinn is pathetic but no match for shinji. i hope kira and athrun kick his ass.

Reportedly, on the box of the 1/100 Strike Freedom model, it states that the Super Dragoons are atmosphere-compatible.

P.S. Anime Insider pitted Kira in Freedom against Shinji in EVA-01. Much angsting was involved (I think), and Kira won by a hair's breadth after Shinji opened up the "angel" to find a boy in the cockpit.

If you've seen Mobile Suit Gundam you'd know that the DOM Troopers are a tribute to the Black Tri-Stars and the DOMs. Jet Stream Attack was the name of their patented move as well.

Michiko Neya?! Not Kikuko Inoue?

Loved the action, short on the blahblah.. which was good. I SO had to
wipe a tear away for Murrue / Kotono when she gave that Sky Grasper
to Neo. Just a touching scene played so beautifully by a VERY talented seiyuu

Murrue / Talia rematch... MORE!! Instead we get this semi-plodding
along trying to outdo each other's ship's turning circle and blasting away
for all of 3 seconds onscreen time. I mean, C'MON!! They had some
better ship2ship action towards the end of SEED, whiskey tango foxtrot?!

Kira 11th hour entrance... with Lacus V1 in tow. It's like I've always said:
behind every great gundam pilot is a bodacious doormat babe... with
the keys to a kickaZZ!! gundam!! It cut out a chance for Cagalli to REALLY
give Shinn the spanking he deserves... least she got a chance to knuckle
sandwich Yuna, the little f*ker

So another mindless blow-em-up ep for #43 I'm guessing, so Athrun
and Kira can team up like the old days to protect Orb...

so how many eps did they have left in the Destiny arc before they have to
rip off ANOTHER Gundam series?
