Very interesting.
The "new girl" doesn't look halfbad, actually. Reminds me of someone, shoot, but the name doesn't come to mind...
I smell a "We All Love Nami! clan" in the making...

I would seriously think about changing clubs if that happened.GigaBowserG wrote:I smell a "We All Love Nami! clan" in the making...

IRT Weltall:
That's certainly plausible...while I think the ending is not good enough for a movie, the fights with the arastols certainly are...If it isn't done as part of TSR, my bets are on an OVA release.
IRT Justin...
I believe ODBD is novels 5&6 - it's two novels after all. Then DVMC would be 7, and ODBD 8, and then this latest one would be 9....
But I'm totally not sure...

Well, DVMC was a short little thing between two rather large stories. And it would seem unfitting to attach them to either. And it's too small a plot to make a season of it's own. If not a movie or OAV, then the only alternative I could see would be to have a lot of side stories along with it, like Fumoffu kind of stuff. Or greatly expand the plot like they're doing with TSR.

Alright, I've been doing some thinking (because I do that every now and again).
We find out now that Sousuke is running around Southeast Asia trying to get help to rescue Kaname. We don't know what he's going to do from there, but after all we've seen in those pictures and heard from sj4iy, I doubt he's any closer to finding her. So let's assume it's going to be a few months before he actually breaks the wall down, squashes Leonard and saves her.
That being the case, what's happening to Kaname during all this? I remember how much of a panic went on when the enemy had her for only a few hours under that machine. Imagine what they'll do to her within a matter of months. For all we know, her brain could be fried. Or Leonard probably wouldn't allow that to happen, but trusting him with Kaname's protection leaves a very bad taste in my mouth.

I really hope she's okay... but at the same time I hope Leonard isn't doing anything to make her like him or something. He's such a creep.Weltall Elite wrote: That being the case, what's happening to Kaname during all this? I wonder if Tessa will be in it? Would she and Kaname still be able to resonate from such a distance? And if Sousuke has really left Mithril (which it looks like he has) would there be any reason to bring in Tessa, Mao and Kurz? I love to speculate and hear about other people#s specualtions

That's my main concern at this point. I mean, there's the threat of brainwashing, and even Stockholm Syndrome. One statistic I heard is that a person's will can be broken in as little as 72 hours. And if she's with Amalgam for a few months? ...yeah, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried. I'd like to think that Leonard would be chivalric enough not to let Kaname get hurt, but considering that something like Stockholm Syndrome would work overwhelmingly in his favor, I wouldn't put it past him to try and beat the 72 hour record. He's already demonstrated that he really doesn't give a damn about anything besides what he wants, and in this case, he wants Kaname.Weltall Elite wrote:That being the case, what's happening to Kaname during all this? Like I said in the COMO thread, I actually quite like Leonard, but I do not trust him to protect Kaname.
EDIT: Heh, I've inspired a new subtitle for the forum? Wow. I feel as though I've won an Ignoble Prize. At least it's spurred some interesting discussions...

Even if he wanted to protect her, Amalgam didn't go through all the trouble of capturing her so that Leonard could have a girlfriend. They want their research.Anysia wrote:That's my main concern at this point. I mean, there's the threat of brainwashing, and even Stockholm Syndrome. Still... I can't imagine that Gatou would allow her to become permanantly brainwashed.
Well, I'd presume Kanames experiences will be given to us. Either through a strong revalation - that she is now Leonards handmaiden of doom and pleasure, or that she was mindraped and beaten - or we'll be treated to Kaname telling Sousuke about it bit by bit. Or there will be entire episodes which focus on Kaname rather than Sousuke (none of which have been released yet).
I recon the most likely will be that we get the story through a conversation with Sousuke, that'll be a long flashback that will disturb the delicate balance of how fast time advances, but eh, it's better than the alternatives.

This all leaves a bad taste in my mouth....
I'd actually thought that the redhead was Kaname in disguise - Mangle the last two slyllables, "name", and you get "Nami." ^^
Of course, I have been proven wrong. Dun dun dun. *falls flat*
With regards to Leo and Kaname.... if he tries anything to her...
Members of the club, you know where to meet. For Great JUSTICE! And Arbalest is destroyed? O_O That plays havoc with some ideas I'd had.

Destroyed? I would have expected that from the title of COMO's last chapter, but it's a shame to lose an AI that Sousuke's just started to get along with... not to mention that Bani's work will have been in vain. Maybe it's just undergoing extensive repairs (and hopefully an upgrade)?
