The pictures look like Sousuke has left Mithril. It's just my guessing since he looks like he's wondering around for Kaname. Maybe Mithril gets him back again, if we put in consideration if the Arbalest is repaired or upgraded. I hope that in the story at that point and beyond, there is still a presence of Mithril, Mithril makes things quite interesting. Might be a little boring without them.

At the very least, I bet Al's memory core(or whatever) is salvaged...since it's now locked on to Sousukes neural pattern, reusing it for a lambda driver based AS would make sense...

If the TDD-1 survived, I'm sure we'll see arbalast resurface in some form or another too...

They're all in order-
format: fmp-dm-yr-mo-scan#
(scan#s vary by month because of other scans in the issue)

She's an AS geek of some sort (pilot, owner, ect), the animesuki poster neglected to mention there's also another new guy involved, and I'll be amazed if anyone can interpret any hankypanky on Sousuke's part from these illustrations

Weltall- unsure if your scenario is legit, but she's not being presented in the visuals as an 'interest' or even a wanna-be interest. Hopefully soon someone will be by to shed some light on it :)

BTW don't link to those files- they won't always be there.[/b]
Hmm
Not to sound like I'm complaining or anythin, or to change the subject too much, but did anyone else notice how Sousuke doesn't have the X-shaped scar on his cheek on the second-to-the-last pic? (The one with that Kurz-with-glasses dude is holding Nami, Sousuke's standing behind them looking mighty sad.)

He has the scar in the third last picture. I'm just guessing it's just a mistake. Like in Full Metal Panic? FUMOFFU episode 5, there's a few scenes where Sousuke's scar is on his right side of the face.

the continuity director was on vacation then.

it can also be that the art was drawn one way and whene it got to the "taping" point, the director decided the scene was better flipped.

the last one is probably quite likely - generally, when drawing and directing, a good visual aid if you're uncertain about something is to flip the scene...a small inconsistency is ok if the scene looks better overall...

Well, according to a new spoiler posted over at AnimeSuki:

[ecs]"Basically, after Tsuzuku On My Own, Sousuke ends up in a faroff town (without any backup from Mithril because he thinks everybody is dead)"[/ecs]

Damn, this particular novel sounds incredibly depressing.

What likely happens is that Merida Island is assaulted, and annihilated, and from what Sousuke can gather, there aren't any survivers...

In reality, Tessa and the crew escapes it aboard the Tuatha de Danaan, likely laying low if the majority of mithril in that region is shattered - it could even be that strikes against the research and intelligence departments are also carried out simultaneously, and then Sousuke would be warned against using his regular means for contacting Mithril, or choose not to since those means would've been compromised...

That would make him truly have to continue on his own

Oh, I knew about all that--I just assumed Sousuke was still in contact with the TDD-1 and knew that there were survivors.

Poor Sousuke. How has he not had a complete breakdown at this point?

"Can I help you?, "you know this section is.." she broke off her sentence as the man walked towards her and nodded, "I think you can Captain".
Tessa looked down, "I haven't been called Captain in 4 years," Wha..what do you want?"
He gave her a devious grin, "I'm here to make sure you keep your promise."

So Sousuke believes nobody is left alive, a kind of major mistake. I hope he gets in touch with the TDD-1 again, it'll bring Mithril back into the story. And how is he wondering around? Does he have some idea where Amalgam is keeping Kaname? Because if so, it's great he's looking for Kaname and going to try to rescue her without any planned help, but he's probably wondering around with no idea...

Nobody says for sure that he believes them to be dead. It might as well be that he doesn't wish to, or does not want to risk contacting them. It would be unlike him to conclude anything about people dying without seeing their decapitated head after the whole Gauron affair...

He likely tries to get in contact with various mercenary groups...he does have a past, after all.

Well, Mithril is a mercenary group, and they practically don't know anything about Amalgam, or even Amalgam's technology or weapons they use. They also have the Intelligence Department, dedicated to information. Amalgam knows more about Mithril than Mithril knows Amalgam.

Actually, I'm the guy that posted that last spoiler on animesuki.
Sousuke pretty much is under the impression that the Danaan and Mithril no longer exists in the epilogue of On My Own (or rather that his group is probably/most likely dead and that Mithril as an organization was wiped out). He has a special way of getting in contact with Kalinin, but Kalinin hasn't responded.
Also, Sousuke isn't just wandering around with no objective. He's in that particular city in Burning One Man Force because one of the dead pilots in one of Amalgam's Arm Slaves was recruited from an arena over there.

Some highlights
[ecs]
1. Sousuke is using a pretty dinky Savage and had his team paint it white.
2. Sousuke beats a M9 with that Savage during one of the underground matches. It's piloted by a SRT member from another batallion who was fortunate enough not to be around base when it was attacked and decided to surrender.
3. The girl's name is Nami and its pretty obvious that she does have some feelings for Sousuke. Unfortunately, Kurama takes her hostage to get Sousuke to come out of his AS and brutally kills her (he counts to 10 and changes his mind at 1: personally I think this is really Sousuke's fault since he shouldn't have hesitated so long).
4. Sousuke goes berserk then proceeds to beat 10 other AS (consisting of some M6) with that same Savage.

Wow that seems really good, I'm looking forward to reading that! Especially for Sousuke's new AS
