Autumn 2005 anime lineup

Post by Tsushima Masaki »

So the time as fallen upon us. A new season of anime!

And my first peek disappointed me. As I've already stated only two interest me so far, but since I'm such a nice guy and don't lead people astray (that's right HELLFIRE  ) I will give you
TEH AUTUMN 2005 LIST!

Anyway, click all the links, get your first opinions, prioritize your download schedules because it might be a busy season for you! I don't have to worry about my ISP kicking down my door since there's not much I'll be downloading this time (which is both good and bad).

So, what are your thoughts? Which anime caught your eye? Which did you simply say "forget it" to?
To be honest, there is a third anime that caught my eye, and it's actually not a sequel! It's called CLUSTER EDGE and is here: http://www.cluster-edge.net/
Seems to be old-school aviation or SOMETHING to do with the skies.

Oh, and Gunparade March fans rejoice (or weep), I bring you Gunparade Orchestra! http://www.gpo-anime.jp/
Looks like the roles have been reversed. Main character is a girl and I don't see many guys present in the main illustration.
However, I'm not interested in this one. Maybe I'll download a couple of episodes to see how it connects with Gunparade March, but I'm actually not very fond of "sequels" that bring in a whole new cast (eg. Mai Otome). Then again... the only similarity I'm seeing between Mai-HiME and Mai-Otome is the "Mai/My" pun... oh, and the animation style.

So, like I said, respond, rant, rave, etc. And vote your opinion of this fall's lineup. Is it a failure or is it harvesting time?

You probably noticed I'm in a strange mood... I just got back from chilling with my old crew of friends.

Some of these look alright..

Since I don't know 80% of the shows I'll base my shallow judgement by the art featured on the websites.

I'll be leeching anything anyway hell I don't have any ISP limits.

So to name a few

Black Cat,
Why: Guns, Girls, looks like a P.I. series might be fun.

MOLLY, STAR-RACER
Why: I'm curious. The art looks interesting.

Blood +
Why: Girl with Katana, Production IG do I need to say more.

Oh my

Black Cat anime?? cool
Have alot of the manga.. and I really like it..
spoiler sorta
[ecs]
Its about a mercyless Hitman with the codename BlackCat whom got in contact with a bounty hunter girl named Saya.
The blackcat was facinated by her and her free spirit which awakend the blackcats feeling (compasion/love?).. and he stops killing people he was ordered to kill.
The organisation he was working for didnt like this at all.
and his so called "Partner" kills Saya
which made the blackcat go against his partner and his organisation
and he lives on like a bounty hunter like saya was but as always.. old wounds dont dissappear so easily and the organasation is still after him and his old partner seems to have his own evil Ideas.

IT'S TRUE THAT WE HAVEN'T SEEN EACH OTHER IN A LONG TIME. BUT YOU ACTUALLY SAID " DO I KNOW YOU? ". IT ALMOST MADE ME CRY ~SIGH~

...and here I was wondering if there was going to be anything new airing
this fall. I'm taking a wait-and-see attitude. The new season of Nanoha,
just cuz it's easier to stick with what you know, tops my list.

thanks for the list!!!!

as for the anime, there are a few that i didn't know about that might be interesting if they are well subbed

originally when i thought there were only 4 series (still new to the whole new anime thing) i was lookin forward to the new hime series and the paradise kiss (although the art doesn't impress me)... also the new rozen maiden, even tho i didn't see the first one yet

but now there will be a few other series i will look into :)

EDIT will update with the names of what i found interesting late... also, i liked gunparade march so i might try out the new one...

I'm interested in Mai Otome, Black Cat, and Paradise Kiss. Also Densha Otoko (but that's live action and it's already over). I'll wait for a few more episodes and TSR to end before I watch anything new this season.

I still have some older completed series I wanna watch too.

Got promos for Blood+... 52 eps, but it looks rather nice, considering
the flop Trinity Blood was before that.

Jigoku Shoujo (Hell Girl) and Shakugan no Shana also sound rather interesting,
unfortunately for us R1'ers the latter's most likely already been prelicenced.

Angel Heart... I need a good girls-with-guns one, but I'm not sure about
them dredging up an oldie-but-goldie to make a new series  We're
getting enough remakes / reimages out of hollywood as it is

...see as more info comes to light...

i've seen most everything that has been subbed (minus the blood ones... aka blood+ and the other horror one);

i'm REALLY liking canvas 2, black cat, Shakugan no Shana

i found aria to be somewhat enjoyable, ill probably keep up with it for a while, unless it gets really boring

i thought cluster edge was ok, but, i won't keep up with it

i dropped mai-otome; i haven't seen to heart 2, paradise kiss, or Ginban Kaleidoscope, but i'll probably watch those tonight

also looking forward to karin

some of the series i haven't seen b/c i haven't seen the original but once i do if i like em i'll watch the new series coming out :)

if any1 wants tv opening/ending song rips, let me know!

Reviewing my list... looks like I'll drop Cluster Edge, too shounen-aiish. All those bishounen, where are the healthy doses of girls??

Shakugan no Shana is a real winner!!

ARIA, well I forgot all about this one when I made this thread back then, but ARIA is very good. It's slow... but it's slice of life. I've never really seen a fastpaced slice of life anime.

I still haven't seen Mai-Otome or Nanoha A's.

I downloaded that Hell Girl or whatever, still haven't seen it.

So basically the only an
