Well 48 was another waste of an episode. At least 49 and 50 look like its going to end with a big space battle with lots of action. Least the Archangel has a small fleet of ships and mobile suits this time to win the nearlly impossible hopeless battle we all know they will come out on top. Still another season of crap to end it like the first can you say all bandai saw was $$$$$$$$$$$$

that's an indication of how dedicated everyone is at this point?

Rey and Shinn... Rey's TOTALLY whacked out of his mind feeding Shinn
that propaganda crap. Save it for the newsfeeds. Tho I thin Shinn FINALLY
gets a taste of what 'role' Dulandial has in mind for him now.

...surprise surprise about Rey's origins. Took them THAT long to admit it?

Hoping they still got a few bucks to put it into some good ol Gundam
blow-things-to-hell meatgrinder eps... otherwise all shall have been wasted

Shinn in mist of battlefield Grows brain cells and realizes.

Joins Kira/Athrun

Some mysterious problem pops up like the fortress that chariman is in is a beam or something

Shinn becomes the hero and destroys...

Rey dies somewhere here

End of Series....

Well just finished 49 some major battles going on. [ecs]We learn Neo is Mwu that he survived, lost his memory rescued by Jibril and brainwashed then gets his memory back by nearlly dying again to save the archangel. Rey is the clone of that evil masked guy. Izak and Deaka join the Lacus faction etc. Oh and the creative minds decided they need to end the show like the last one breaks out another almighty Genesis Gun. [/ecs]

Well one more episode to go looks just like last season. You'll see Athurun vs Shin, Kira vs Rey, some big battle with Archangel fleet vs Minerva fleet, Genesis destoryed, Dullindal will be stopped and or killed, some touchy moment maybe someone important dying so everyone else can come to their senses that war and fighting is bad that we all need to get along, and finally peace restored to the gaxlaxy once again. Well until the greedy bastards at Bandai decide to go for a third season to make even more profits no matter how bad it would turn out.

in agreement with dfens about the ending to this series is gonna suck BIG TIME!

Nice buildup to the internal conflicts everyone's feeling, but so little time to
act on them... i mean, they shoulda been at this point 10 eps ago

So Talia gets one brief moment to contemplate whether or not to follow
Dulandia along his merry path to hell, Meyrinn & Lunamaria get one brief
audio convesation in all that chaos to get a reality check, Rey and Mwu get
VERY brief expository scenes to explain their places in the story... as do
Izak & Deakke

To say nothing about like 75% of the animation's reuse or recycled from
SEED/early Destiny... I'll admit I rather was amused by Izak's short
temper to get out there and kick Athrun's butt from there to ZAFT

oh yeah, Shinn FINALLY gets a moment to whack off to his sister's phone...
d*n, Luna taking care of him THAT good?!

They really got it in for pulling WMD's out the yingyang, don't they? First
that Genesis II, then Requiem... now what... Genesis Mobile Fortress?

i was like hmm when i watched ep 49.. but heck this series is made for kids and people who don't watch the older gundam series...

Well it's finally over maybe! Lots of action in this episode it was all predictable though, only thing that sucks Shin doesn't die but does get his ass handed to him once and for all. Still the ending of the series sucked compared to the first they left it way open for a OAV, sequel I bet my right nut on that. They just ended it with certain characters with no screen time and no info and what is going to happen to them etc.

Bam the battle is over cut to credits come on lazy bastards they should have made this like a hour special and ended this awful series, but no they want to milk this cash cow a little more.

ECS'd, but i think everyone's gonna find out real quick:[ecs]

rushed but nice beginning (re)introing what the heck happened. Arch &
her battlgroup are in aheadlong rush to take out Messiah before it
can fire and scorch Orb. Minerva's in hot pursuit, and of course, Yzak &
Deakke have switched sides, but other than that expository comment,
they do jack f*k all...

Rey's origins FINALLY revealed... he's Rau Le Creuset's clone.... duh!
and Talia's love child with Gilbert... double duh!! So much for his 'conditioning'
to follow Dulandial into death... he loses it 3/4 of the way thru the ep

Luna gets a brief fight scene with Athrun where she basically gets pwned,
course Athrun doesn't have the heart to kill her, only disable her suit long
enough to show how much she cares for him... then for Shinn to crash in.
No pwnage for him... seems Fukada had more plans for our long-lived anti-hero....

Most of the screentime's given to Kira & Rey talking about what to do about
the future... which is basically a rehash of what Kira & Creuset went on
about before the latter got barbecued by the first Genesis...

The final battle between Archangel & Minerva's pretty even till AA pulls
this cute loop maneuver... somehow Athrun's Justice gets into the
fight and blows out Minerva's engines

I'm trying to remember
where I saw that happen.

The REAL SW ref? Gilbert's little chair spin move as Kira walks in
after blowing the hell out of Messiah... Gawd!!

[/ecs]

The final score: Shinn [ecs]gets a final farewell with his ghostly gf and [/ecs]becomes
the new Kira Yamato bawling like a f*king baby in Luna's arms

Talia, Gilbert & Rey reunited... what a lovely dysfunctional family in the
tradition of Evangelion

Kira & Athrun... alive

AA, Eternal & crew... alive

Orb... spared, for now

...I don't think they could've f*ked this series up any more than they
have for an ending.... could they?

Indeed.. that was a really fast ending... Victory- yay--> (END)
they could have shown a little bit of what happened afterwards.
I also agree that the first serie ended ALOT better... It didnt have these
openings everywhere...

bleh, what a horrible way to end it...

i must say though, if athrun just sliced up shinn a bit more, i would have been extremely satisfied.

Kira is now a smooth operator

No more cry cry for him!

i wanna see a nice kiss for each of those couples out there...

i am sure they will have an OVA because this is horribel without it.

New Series After Destiny (Gundam Seed Eternity?)
Fukuda has another interview lately again. Though he has been quite worn-out because of various pressure, he may challenge to have a third series and he is thinking of choosing 3 characters from GSD as his next series main characters. It is rumored to be called "Gundam Seed Eternity".
