You can't really blame Kaname for denying her feelings, you know. I mean, Sousuke DID drop her like a bad habit and left her to fend for herself. Granted, he had reasons, but...

Sousuke's a goody goody soldier, Leonard is a bad-to-the-bone rebel. I guess Kaname's not the type of girl to go for the a-holes huh? ^.^

You know I have writen a Full Metal Panic Fanfic where World War 3 erupts, and there Leonard is completely broken by the guy who causes the War. I'm sorry, but it is in Korean, and I do NOT want to translate 700 pages into English.

atm Leonard is the only one who has shown and stated his love? towards Kaname. at least he is clear about it.

Also, isn't he kinda right? , Sousuke is a stone cold killer, maybe they were bad people but those other people didn't have to chance to contradict that. Also I don't see Leo pull a KBar on a Granny.

Sousuke grew up in a war zone. Killing was neccesary for survival. If he chose not to kill, then he would have been killed. Unfortunatly, in growing up in that fashion, he believed that thats all he can do.

In order to prevent him from becoming nothing more than a mindless killer, Kalinin had him sent to Japan and gave him the mission to assmilate into everyday society. However, I'm sure no one could have guessed that a chain of events would force Sousuke into piloting the Arbalest, after which the Arbalest could not be reset.

Of course, TSR (and the related novel) is the turning point on how Sousuke see's himself and his purpose.

Leo has no excuse for what he does. Pulling a trigger is no different than sending someone to do it for you. But the later is far worse since not only are you ordering someone's death, but your sending yet another person to risk thier life in doing so. Also, your doing so out of premeditation with no direct danger to your life.

With Sousuke, he kills his enemies, but he is capable of befriending them and trusting them with his life(i.e. Kalinin). I doubt Leo would do so.

Also remember the Homeland arc when he found out that it was his childhood friend trying to kill him. He was visibily upset because of it, and he attempts to communicate with him several times. His friend (which is used as the ghost of christmas yet to come) makes no such attempt and thinks its just a job, nothing personal. (To the dismay of Gauron, who is bored of his response to the question "So how does it feel to kill a friend?").

So in a way Leo is right, after all Sousuke does kill people. But Leo is a moral sess pool, when compared to Sousuke. If anyone is a "cold and heartless" killer, it's Leo. Can Sousuke become one? Sure. Thats a big part of the story line: "Which path will Sousuke take" and how Kaname will affect that decision.

Aaaah yes always the good old .. "but but, I had a bad childhood" excuse.

Why didn't he quit Mithril when he had the chance.... oh wait wait .. the "but but I don't know any other life" excuse.

Leo has no excuse?? What is known about his past? We (I?) yet have to determine (remember?) that. Maybe that whiny snot sister of him drove him over the edge.

Can Sousuke become one? Isn't he already... to hell with that "but but I was only following orders" or the "but but it was self defense" excuse.
and he made Tessa cry the heartless bastard... hah so heartless is covered as well....

Besides I have yet to see proof that Leo ordered Gauron and besides he is using robots to do the killing for him .. Nyaaah

Yeah I know it's the Kill Leo threat but I feel my client has the right of a fair trial and execution...
(*snickers* I can't guarantee that any of the above statements I made are based on events as seen in the novels / books ... I'm just trying to hone my devils advocate skills : )

So Souske would be a better person had he gotten killed in childhood, rather than fighting back? And I should go to jail for murder if I blow away a burgler who is threatening me in my own home? Self defense is a vaild excuse. I have the right to defend myself and defending oneself does not make one a cold heartless killer. Cold heartless killers blow peoples heads off just for sh*ts and giggles. There is a slight difference.

but fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate and hate leads to suffering. (Wait, didn't wuzzisface say that in the prior TSR ep? albiet in a non-jedi way?)

Sousuke is on the brink of manhood, he will need to make a decision to either continue on his current path (which, ahem, leads to the dark side), or wake the @&#^@& up and realize he's been wrong.

Raise a child as a weapon, as a child he won't know better (children donot comprehend that thier actions have consequences, and what those consequences are. That comprehension is learned as the grow.), by the early teens it becomes wrote. If, in his teens, he doesn't realize the moral implications of what he's doing then he will be nothing more than what he is. A weapon.

Remember Sousuke has just turned 17, technically he is in the process of maturity, still having the tendancy to behave as if he is still child. Leo's is supposedly in his 20's (as far as I reckon), he should have realize that killing is bad by now.

I believe Sousuke is one of those people, as long as he believes he is killing his enemies and achieving his objective. His childhood experience and life beated that into him. Anything for survival to see the next day.
The thing with the Ka-Bar, Sousuke was using normal battle tactics. Take someone hostage to ensure your own safety, I don't think he was really going to take it too far, but then again why was he setting up all those traps in the first place? To achieve his objective(s).

Leonard is in a sense a cold and heartless killer, because not only did we see him order someone's death, not directly though, but also because he makes weapons. He is a Whispered, he developes AS's with Lambda Drivers for an organization that "tests" their new weapons. Like the Leviathons, in field tests, they have sunk submarines as well as cruises. He also developed the Arastol units, units that take unsophisticated orders like "kill everybody", or "kill everybody in your path in reaching your objective." Watch the Arastols activity around him. He must have programmed those with orders of "kill anybody that is a threat to me."

She hasn't admitted her feelings for Sousuke either. Does that make her a bad person? And besides, when Sousuke thought Kaname wanted to be with Fuwa, he was willing to let her go. We can't say the same about Leonard. Love is defined by actions. Not just words.

Sousuke is a stone cold killer

Don't be absurd. He's a soldier. There's a difference. Fighting terrorists and people invading your home is quite different from killing for self-interest.

Love is sooo overrated

Sousuke groping Kaname might have been a sign of affection, But that kiss was way more elegant... also Kaname didn't seem to bother it for like a whole 3.24 seconds .... believe me such a kiss can come to a painful end in .8 seconds. (I have witnesses)

Soldier? He is a merc. killing for money lets not forget that.
Also pulling a Kbar on a civillian is not something you learn in bootcamp. But for a merc. who knows
