Why should people buy the umd movies? chances are, they already bought the movie on DvD and spending a lot of cash for a format with reduced quality isn't a smart thing to do.

I wonder who thought to name it "universal". Only being able to be used by one medium is hardly universal. :/

I think "Universal" ment that it can be used in many ways, like for instance, one can use it as a handy coaster, holiday decoration (especially after microwaving it on high for 2-3 seconds), ninja weapon, and bling-bling when on a chain.
