Kadokawa at international bookfair/Frankfurt

Post by Kaze »

I just came back from this years international bookfair in Frankfurt/Germany (about 7.000 exhibitors)
There were lots of japanese publishers but I only paid my attention to Shogakukan (Inu Yasha Manga) and of course Kadokawa (FMP).

At Kadokawas booth I gathered a nice postcard covering the cover of the latest FMP novel (not BOMF, but the one with the short stories) and a DVD-advertising banner.

I also had the chance to have a look at the magazine (ehh...telephonebooksize... again, what is it called?? ^^; ) in which FMP Sigma is being released.
Could have been a chapter of Volume 2:
It covered episode 8... 9 (Kaname leaving home, Love Hotel scene, etc)
the chapter finished with Kaname catching Wraith on the roof.
Compared to the manga, the anime was quite innocent ^^* *cough* :-o
I wish I had taken some photos, but I hope Boku Tachi are going to translate it, soon...

Here are some photos, please do not use this photos outside of this forum, without asking me.

"Can I help you?, "you know this section is.." she broke off her sentence as the man walked towards her and nodded, "I think you can Captain".
Tessa looked down, "I haven't been called Captain in 4 years," Wha..what do you want?"
He gave her a devious grin, "I'm here to make sure you keep your promise."

That Kadokawa Shoten 2005 poster looks really cool. Were they giving away copies of it? No? Should've just stole that one off the wall... and mail it to me. :-D

I would've removed it off the wall, toghether with the inuyasha poster but unfortunately I wasn't the only person in Hall 6. -___-
They also had the Dragon Magazine and the manga in which sigma is realased. It was unsellable, too. I also tried to bribe the guy at kadokawa, but no success. :(

More likely the guy knew Sousuke's style that the fans would try to copy, and brought along a TMP and Leonard's coat. I appreciate the pictures you took, interesting stuff. So that means that they had Dragon Magazine and sigma in German or Japanese? Or is Dragon Magazine always in Japanese?

They were both in japanese. Unfortunately, Sigma as well as the Dragon Mag are not published outside J. Not that I know of.

FMP: Sigma is published in Dragon Age. I wish I could go to a book fair like that ^^
