It's like house arrest, dumbass. *smacks ricerocket*

Besides, he's trying to win her over to him...

Nah, I think ricerocket knows and is just a bit off in the phrasing. :-P (No offence intended, dude.)

And I think the odds of Al coming back are really high. I mean, the relationship between Sousuke and Al were improving, only for it to be cut off in its prime... I dare say we'll see some wisecracks soon enough.

Sure we will. I mean, I think I posted already that Al is an essential element for Sousuke to win. He helps Sousuke to grow.

Imagine... SOusuke and Al like Maevrick and Goose. Although Goose died. -_-

I think it's shikidouji who's doing that. Gatoh is like, "Okay, he runs off into the jungle, canyou take it from there?"

"Sure."

Well, I personally think that the ratio of sexy pics of characters is about 20 chick pics to every 1 guy pic (not to mention the undressable figurines of the girls), so I don't think there's much wrong with this ^^
Besides, in the actual text, Lemon says to Sousuke, "So you dressed up like Rambo, then what were you planning to do?", so I think it was inspired by Gatou's words. Can't look much more like Rambo than that.

Don't need ECS when the thread is marked spoilers. ;) - K

Well, I personally think he looks more like Tarzan. So there. :-P (Having said that, though, we all know Sousuke's going to be taking on Rambo-esque odds soon enough.)

Just finished a rough read of the new chapter of TMMD:

All about the crew of the De Danaan, what happened after they escaped from the Behemoths (surprise, surprise, when Tessa tells people they can leave, most people stay). Clouzot, Mao, and Kurz have all been promoted a rank, and Tessa tells them about Leonard and Amalgam. Tessa's pretty worn out in this chapter, and is barely eating and not getting much sleep at all. Sucky part: only one new picture in this chapter- they reused a bunch of old pictures for the rest.

So, wait. What rank does that make them now?

...ahhh, nothing like bittersweet betrayal... by your own flesh and blood.

Didn't Golden Week or some major holiday occur in Japan? Must've been
a (mistaken) case of 'major holiday coming up, work slowdown to occur' :-D

Golden Week's actually in April, so I can't explain what the reason for the lack of new pictures was.

Concering ranks:
Clouzot is now a taii, which translates to Lieutenant or Captain...he's the rank McAllen was.
Mao is now a chuui, which is Lieutenant...the rank that Clouzot was previously.
And Kurz is souchou, or Sergeant Major...which was the rank that Mao held in the beginning of the series.

And Sousuke's still a sergeant, eh? Poor little guy is getting left out of the loop! Ah well, I'm pretty sure he doesn't care much for titles anyways. After looking at that picture up top again I realized that Sousuke needs another haircut. He better find Kana fast! ;)

A quick note on taii - taii only means "Lieutenant" in the naval context. Goddard-taii is Lieutenant Goddard because he's a naval officer in paygrade O-3 (taii being the Japanese blanket term for any O-3).

MacAllen would be Captain, assuming that TDD-1's ground forces use Army/Marine ranks... which in English would be one way of distinguishing ship personnel and ground personnel, like how they do in the US Navy with the Navy and Marines.

Chuui is the adress for officers in paygrade O-2. that means that in the Navy, that's a Lieutenant Junior Grade, and in the Army/Marines, a 1st Lieutenant.

And Kurz is now Sar-Major? Well, i guess it had to happen sooner or later. ^^ Sousuke can't be promoted anyways - you can only have ONE Sergeant Major...

Well, I know that in the series translation by ADV, they translated makkaren-taii as "Lieutenant McAllen" (I had translated it as Captain, myself).
