Is it national surgery week ?

Last surgery I had they hammered out my wisdom teeth.
It was amazing, first they hit a vein with a injection needle filled with sedative so my face turned white and the surgeon was calling his collegues to take a look, because appearantly my face seemed to have melted when all the muscles and nerves just stopped functioning.
Then they got a mil to cut away part of the tooth because it was jammed under a molar...

Anyone else got a nice story?

Never had surgery. Either the conditions wern't right, or I didn't exactly do what I should have done. Stiches is the closest I've come. I was supposed to have a skin graft on my leg once, but they couldn't get the condtions right, it healed itself. Slashed open various places that required stiching, cracked ribs, should have had that seen to, but I never did. That side still feels a little tight. Dislocated a knee, which didn't need surgury due to the fact that it had popped back in, and hadn't appeared to have trapped any blood vessels or nerves.

Don't worry the extraction doesn't hurt .... the pain comes later.

Tau-chan, it's partially luck. But also a stupidly high pain tolerance. Unwillingness to admit actually needing medical attention. I'd have probably struggled to walk home after dislocating that knee, but we had a couple of chair-fast boys at the ANime club that night I did the knee in (I was demonstrating a wrist throw to CPOK when I dislocated the knee actually), they simply said I wasn't going anywhere except in an ambulance.

Pride is also a factor. I will drive myself until I literally fall over. That and the years of martial arts toughening me right up. You'd understand if you ever met me. All too well.

5 surgeries on my ears, and I still am almost considered permanently deaf in the left ear. It's just what I was born with.

I have a reaction to anesthetic, I vomit for hours afterward. I hate knowing that I want to be up, but there's no way you can stay up and you have no control over your body... it's eerie.
(I can only imagine what Chidori goes through!)

This surgery is of a different nature - related to the possibility of cancer.
