Mmmz responsibility ... did Sousuke ?
Oh wait, he didn't have to take responsibility for his actions because orders were orders ne? Thank heavens he felt "baaaad" about it, it really makes up for the past.
I have my doubts about Kalinin being a traitor but maybe they got to what is left of his family.
Then again it's give and take in the counter intelligence biz.
If he needs Amalgam to trust him, he needs a pretty big "gift" to make it happen.
Now the destuction of a HQ is a bit drastic but it might give him that needed trust.
From what I have read about Kalinin he's a Pro and it's hard to imagine him going for the money.
Besides if he was such a bastard he would have let Sousuke become lunch for the vultures.

"Can I help you?, "you know this section is.." she broke off her sentence as the man walked towards her and nodded, "I think you can Captain".
Tessa looked down, "I haven't been called Captain in 4 years," Wha..what do you want?"
He gave her a devious grin, "I'm here to make sure you keep your promise."

I think Sousuke has taken responsibility. With all of the introspection in the last 3 books on his part, you can see that he's a totally different character. He no longer uses the excuse of "I'm just obeying orders" when he feels that something isn't right. In EODBD he finally made that turn, and in BOMF we see it very well in the end of the book when he is about to die- we see all of the demons coming back to haunt him, and how he finally understands what "karma" is, and how he's going to pay for it. I haven't seen anything like this sort of introspection on Leonard's part- this might be due to the fact that we don't often see Leonard's thoughts; or as I would be more apt to believe, he doesn't have these same feelings of regret. When we do get to see Leonard's thoughts, they are very condescending of others- I don't think he thinks highly enough of other people to ever feel sorry for what he's done, nor to try to set it right somehow. For all that Leonard's been through, what condemns him most in my mind is that he feels that others of less intelligence are beneath him, and he cares nothing for them. He treats Kaname with respect only because she is like him. This is called hubris, and will kick his ass in the end. So there's my intelligent reasoning as to why I don't like Leonard.
My unintelligent reasoning is that I just think Sousuke kicking his ass will be fun to read

Dude, pull the stick out of your ass. There's no need for all villains to have tragic pasts. And really, though I don't think that everyone should pray for a certain villain to go all "ASPLODED" and shit, there's no reason he can't. Certainly, just because you can't appreciate some characters doesn't mean that you should stop watching anime. Now, on the other hand, if you watch anime only to bash it and scream on anime forums that Bratz is a superior TV show, then perhaps you should stop.Mecha wrote:Then you should not watch anime, Least ones we villain actually has tratig past. This is what Leonard is and same time he is gentleman unlike Gauron and Gates that did have that "hate me" aspect in them.

I was looking at Animesuki, and they posted a new picture. Here's the link to the thread where the picture is. I can't copy and paste it...

What does the picture of Kalinin with baby Sousuke have to do with TMMD? That picture is from the new short story book that released this past summer.

I don't know about you or most people, but being way past my 12th birthday I prefer my villians to have more depth than "I want to rule the world lawlz", be it tragic past or whatever else.Torii wrote:Dude, pull the stick out of your ass. By the way, nobody here is bashing on the anime, chill the hell out. The only person here bashing anything is you.

And now we return to our regular program!
What will happen in the latest chapter:

Hmm.. seems I've been right on the money.
Although predictable, the ending may turn out to be rather satisfying.
Why call the book "Get together and make my day.", if it wouldn't be?

It's pretty obvious it's Flamberg(e)*, though.
Leviathan is already taken within the FMP-verse and Flamberge fit's in with the ARX-6 Halberd and ARX-7 Arbalest namewise, since they all denote medieval hand weaponry.
It's interesting to note that the ARX-6 is named after a pike (piercing weapon), the ARX-7 after a crossbow (ranged weapon) and the ARX-8 is named after a sword (cutting weapon).
Seems to be a deliberate choice based on the perfomance and functionality of the Arm Slaves.
*Or more probably Flambard.

It just had to be a sword, huh?
And when was Leviathan used, anyway? I don't recall having heard of it before... but given Amalgam's predilection for demonic/monstrous names, it could be their codename for the ARX-8.
Excellent news, and I think we can figure out what comes next.
