"Can I help you?, "you know this section is.." she broke off her sentence as the man walked towards her and nodded, "I think you can Captain".
Tessa looked down, "I haven't been called Captain in 4 years," Wha..what do you want?"
He gave her a devious grin, "I'm here to make sure you keep your promise."

They seem to have some disfunction between the marketing folks who announce the schedules and the people who actually produce the product. The only good thing about that is on both of the previous novels, I found copies in our local Borders store two or three days before the published release date. I don't have a clue as to what's up with that, but hope it continues along those lines.

I was wondering when they were going to get this one out. I even e-mailed their Web site, and was advised to check the release calendar on the Web site. Unfortunately, they only project a month or so into the future on that--so, not really all that helpful. Oh, well. It is, as they say, what it is...

well, it doesn't have to be on time, as long as it's early and not late :D

Um... can anyone inform me as to how many volumes have been released after TSR?

In other words, how much of the written work has been put into anime?

I have a backup of an anime site's FMP thread (forgot which site LOL) which covers the earlier novels here:

http://www.omnilinkavstudios.com/FMPFAQ/

Please remember, it contains LOTS of spoilers. The list includes Burning One Man Force and the compilation novel proceeding it, and points out what was animated, what was not animated and what did not appear in the novels.

Thanks for the link, I forgot how many side story compilations there were. I hope we get to see them translated at some point (and animated of course! :-D )

Based on the list at the link KiLlEr provided, it looks like TokyoPop, a least so far, is skipping over the Fumoffu-esque compilations and releasing the more serious novels. I wonder if that means after "Into the Blue" they will go straight to "Owaru Day By Day"?

If so maybe we'll get to read the post-TSR novels sooner than later, which would be a very good thing. On the other hand, I'd like to see some of the compliations translated too!

Agreed. Perhaps they'll translate them after the main storyline is finished? Whatever the case may be, knowing that the translation to "The End of Day by Day" is much closer than previously expected is very exciting! :-D

I am fairly-well bummed out today. My local mega-chain bookstore not only didn't get the book a day early, as they have the previous two releases, they DIDN'T EVEN HAVE IT ON ORDER! So now, I have to check with all their other outlets in the area, or just give up and order it on Amazon. I was really looking forward to reading it this week.

I was guilty, as my old Granma used to say, of counting my chickens before they hatched...

Anyone else get it yet?

but if they usually have it a day early, wouldn't they still not have it until june 16th?

The TokyoPop site said it would be available on June 13 in one place, and that it is available now in another location. But maybe it is only available now from their site, because Amazon lists it at June 17.

On the previous two novels, I went in the day before the published TokyoPop release dates and the bookstore already had them in stock. A few more days is not that big a deal. I had just hoped my luck would hold out.

My grump mode was probably accentuated by Netflix jumping ahead in my DVD list and sending me a volume of a series I've been watching out of order.

Ah, well, into each life some rain must fall. No?

Got mine via Amazon. I am about half-way through it. As usual, the story is familiar from the anime and manga, but the novel adds a lot of little details that get lost in the other media. I wish I could just sit down and read it through but life intrudes...
