Well, 7 days into my trip and I haven't keeled over from the food or the
air quality (or lack of it). And actually, the food's been d**n good, only
problem is not having hollow legs to enjoy it more.

Rather poignant day visiting the Nanjing Memorial here -- though I think
China overall needs to learn to enforce the 'no camera' policy alittle
better sometimes...

well, done with Shanghai, now we're out in the SW boonies of China near
the border with Laos, Vietnam, et al.... no matter where I go, everyone
drives like a maniac. Wish I had a video camera for the one driver we
had today, it so called for the whole trip on the back roads to be put
to Eurobeats and 'caption this' comments

Tall and Cold barkeep... I need to steady my nerves and get over this
d**ned bug someone in our tour group so kindly brought and shared with everyone.

Well, it's official. Sitting here in Shanghai Int'nl airport for the flight
back to Canada, so that means my vacation is over and I'll be back to work
waaaay too quick. It was a fun trip, and yes, I am still alive and in one
piece, so nyah to the naysayers

Be seeing everyone when I land back in Canada!

Tall and cold again please with a heavy dash of cold remedy. I'm in the
final stages of a spring cold, courtesy of a fellow traveller to China, but
it still refuses to die.

Other than that, almost back into the groove, but I left my brain somewhere
in Shanghai ...

'Sounds like a story.. a couple of months ago I managed to kill a virtual "temp" server and I didn't have a backup the boss didn't like it but took it pretty well.. lucky for me the codemonkey that worked on that server still had a copy.
I gave him a banana.

So unless you killed his cat you should be okay.

I try and avoid causing problems at work... unless I KNOW I can get away with it...
and with the wonders of NAC, logfiles, etc., there's not many places one can really
screw around with things. That and I like being employed please.

Tall and Cold again... Tax season is over for another year, but it STILL drives me
bananas!!!
