Anime 2011 (S)Hit list

Post by HELLFIRE »

Surprised no one put this up yet... but

I see there's the obligatory moe, mahou shoujo, and Marvel title.
Also see the necessary 2nd season continuation and sibling (w)incest title of the season...

.... just in time for my ISP to implement UBB-based internet. B***ards!!

On a good day, a Tomahawk can fly into the door of a two-car garage at the distance of several hundred miles. And that can ruin your whole day.

With the exceptions of the Black Lagoon OVA, Bleach and Gintama, looks like pretty slim pickings for me. But, you never know one of the others might be a surprise.

I'm getting old .... only Black Lagoon and the Hellsing OVA #8 seem to pique my interest. ... Meh

"Can I help you?, "you know this section is.." she broke off her sentence as the man walked towards her and nodded, "I think you can Captain".
Tessa looked down, "I haven't been called Captain in 4 years," Wha..what do you want?"
He gave her a devious grin, "I'm here to make sure you keep your promise."

I've been watching the Black Lagoon subs online and this storyline is like--yike!
Still, call me provincial, but I like the English cast, so I hope to plunk down some cash when they release the dubbed version on DVD.

Slim pickings?

You should consider these titles:

Infinite Stratos
1 guy in an all-girls mech pilot school, harem/sci-fi. You've got 3 types of tsundere...
Fun for the whole family

Freezing!
A manhwa turned anime... reminds me of Mai-HiME/Otome with a touch of Claymore mixed in. Plenty of fanservice... hell there are bare nipples in every episode (unless you got the censored version, then you're treated to half of your screen being whited out). You've got the girls doing the actual battling, and the guys serving as support.

Fractale
Seems like a slice of life type show set on a "utopian" island.

GOSICK
Gotta love Engrish titles. They probably meant GOTHIC.
Anyway it's set in the 1920s in a fictitious European country and you have a short blonde haired loli who reminds me of Shinku who's brilliant at solving mysteries (mainly crime).

Don't bother watching Rio Rainbow Gate. It's just an excuse for Tecmo to put their pachinko mascot in a bunch of cosplays, well, that might be up some people's alley.

yeah that one. it was all fun and games until suddenly they were like "the guy is actually super rich, but a bastard child." enter old brother and family that has plans for him.

i am waiting for the arranged marriage to pop up.

they need to get some new plot devices.

Okay, I gotta check out Cat Shit One. That sounds very strange, but intriguing.

Have to admit, I watched Maid Sama. I think the early episodes were best. Misa's 'tude kind of reminds me of Chidori. Had to wonder if the cross-dressing kid name Aoi was some kind of homage to YUA's Aoi Futaba? Kind of an uneven show, but better than watching reruns of "Everyone Loves Raymond."
