Last-minute prepping for our local con... picked up a bunch of pocky for prizes and came across a cookies-and-creme flavor.
Had to sample a box... YUM! Haven't heard, no one else wants Nabeshin's sig, if I can get it?

Wow... just wow... just HOW fast was this guy driving to crash through the fence, the wall, the kitchen island to end up on the front driveway?

One of the reasons I'm happy? This . Been a Supergirl fan and loved her since the 1984 movie.

Well ... I didn't like it ... she was kinda bitchy but now they turned her into an mumbling airhead.

FX was good though .. but it's not aimed at "us" but at girly girls.
I saw better cosplay of that outfit <g>

So to recap my experience with Nabeshin this last weekend :

Saw Nabeshin in person at a panel. Yeah... he's everything you see in his photos and anime. Also doesn't speak
English, or not well enough they brought in a translator for him.

Also, while he stresses "in Japan, he is an animation director and has a wife, etc, etc etc," I'm pretty sure I
learned more about his sexual preferences than I needed to know as the panel was called "Bondage With Nabeshin."
I also have no visual evidence as Nabeshin was INSISTENT that "pictures ONLY be taken with the heart." Also con
staff were VERY clear any visible cell phones would be immediately destroyed, no exceptions.

So in Nabeshin's bags he brought was rope... ALOT of it. Nabeshin asks for volunteers -- both tie-er and tie-ee.
First is a girl coplaying as Pinkie Pie -- she tells Nabeshin she's done bondage once, and that was with a friend.
She also made the mistake of saying her boyfriend was with her in the audience, to which Nabeshin asks him to come
down. While the girl is being tied up, Nabeshin talks to the boyfriend and gets out of him a) he's not an MLP fan
and b) he's not into bondage, but here he is watching is girlfriend get tied up. After girlfriend is tied up, then
it's boyfriend's turn to face "the treatment." Then Nabeshin had them both tied up, back to back. Wow...
awkward beyond words

But a riot for the room.

Next is two panel staff for tie-er and tie-ee, to which Nabeshin then has the former parade the latter around the
room to show off the handiwork on completion.

Lastly was a professional cosplayer from out of country that Nabeshin did the honors of tying up himself. Being a
pro, said cosplayer was stressing NONE of this must get back to her company -- really? So WHY were you up there?
Crazy thing was she was alternating between being humiliated to tears and having the time of her life... Nabeshin
didn't help by wiggling a tentacle finger puppet next to her that put her over the edge. There was banter back and
forth about how much for certain things to happen, to which both her and Nabeshin wanted their cut of things -- no
I will NOT elaborate on that.

Needless to say, there's going to be QUITE a few awkward nights for these people.. but fond memories for a lifetime
of the person that is Nabeshin

Other guests I met up with during the con was Linda Ballantyne and Toby Proctor (Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask respectively). Panel was a blast,
and I tried to record it, but my phone ran out of juice 5mins before it ended... bugger!

I did get to ask Linda her input on this scene as I swear if I was Rini / ChibiUsa I don't
think I could keep a straight face having to say that line LOL. Unfortunately Linda didn't have a direct recollection of how many takes
they had to do. Linda also indicated Serena getting drunk in the Sailor Moon S episode "Usagi's Dance, In Time to a Waltz" (Cloverway ep title
"Everything's Coming Up Rosey") was one of her personal favorites as well

Friend just showed me that this weekend. I used to think Danger 5 set the bar of just how nutty things can get on screen... I think

Been acting as cameraman with a Lumix GH4 .. suddenly they asked me to be a backup cameraman as well ...

Hehehe we put up a gopro on the ceiling but due to heat the gopro dropped down and hit somebody lol .. glad this isn't the USA, else we probably got would have gotten sued.
